So we sign John Tavares and have Matthews/JT and Kadri as 1, 2 and 3.
Our 4th line C got 10:44 TOI last night and over 11 minutes against Tampa.

Does anyone else find that crazy? The 4th line C should be getting 5-6 minutes.

The Leafs have Brooks in the minors for next year. But this year Lindholm and the Goat are both more 13th forwards.

WE can have him or Jt playing 22 however.

Main Reason our stars don’t play as many minutes as some others is special teams.

We are near the bottom of the league in Power Play time. Our stars are not primary penalty Killers. Having 2 fourth liners that our primary penalty killers is a bonus...

I'd also add that we have 3 lines that we can roll out that are pretty interchangeable. Having said that, if I were coach (and as of yet, I'm not) I'd be running the Matthews-Soon-to-be-Melander and Snakevares-MM lines a lot more often.

I think we will get Matthews/Nylander soon.

But one or both need to get back into game shape before that happens. Can’t put two struggling players together.

I did think Willie looked a lot better last night though. It’ll come.

How many games suspension is Kapanen gonna get for Brouwer hitting him later than the Hyman hit on McAvoy and more of a knee than what Giordano did to Koivu?
