Chris Chelios? - gergeswillems
Chris Chelios should have been in jail in 1989, and banished from the league. He's a disgrace. |

Leave him unprotected in the expansion draft after next season. He would have to approve this first. Let seattle deal with him. - Nmbr1
He'd probably be good with that. Close to hometown and his son. |

It will be a sad day, but I believe Duncan Keith should, and will be moved.
There will be a lot of suitors but Bowman needs to get solid return if he's trading an iconic and still valuable member of this team. |

I dont mind Keith as a Dman but I'd pass strictly due to his contract. We are looking at 5.5 until he is 39 years old. I;d rather go after Muzzin or Martinez |

Fact: Duncan Keith will remain in Chicago. Period.
He has 3 cup rings, gold medals, and doesn't need anything but to play out his career. He's not going to wave so any rumor is pointless
Jesse Puljujarvi should be traded but won't be. Oilers will do the same thing with Yakupov, wait longer. I doubt he'll get back on scoring but it's possible for him to become a very useful top 9 forward. I wonder if Ottawa (Melnyk) would do Dzingel for him based on them trying to save $.
Parayko won't be playing for the blues by Sept
Simmonds will be gone before Feb
Btw EK, where is Rick Nash

He won't do much in the way of teaching the younger dmen on any team. He hasn't for the hawks...
The above isn't exactly accurate. It is pretty obvious that he has had a positive impact on Henri Jokiharju.
The other stuff is basically debatable stuff that gets lobbed around messageboards, personally I don't entirely buy it - but I do believe that he has not felt any inclination to buy in to whatever the new system is at Chicago.
I guess considering how long he has been around there, he has earned that right. I wouldn't ever hold that against a player that has experienced some bottom of the barrel times from Chicago when first coming in to the league, then experienced the most successful period in Chicago hockey history, and now coming back to where it all started ... a team struggling to find its identity.
Not many players want to become defacto coaches when they know they still can play effectively. I mean, seriously, where is the incentive for those guys? It applies to more than just Keith though. I mean is a player supposed to have a goal of developing players? Or being part of a team, with a realistic team goal (usually meaning competing for a Stanley Cup)?
Will it happen? Who knows? Wouldn't be surprising though.

Just throwing this our there for discussion. Who's going to play goal for the Flyers next year? Do the Flyer fans think Hall will be ready or do you need a NHL caliber goalie for a year? If so do you want to resign Elliott or Neuvirth, or possibly take Crawfird from Chicago for the rest of this season and next? What do you think Crawford would be worth in trade now to have him for a year and a half? |

Carter Hart will play in goal for the Flyers at some point next season, but we definitely need a goalie as a bridge...whether its Crawford or Quick or someone else we can obtain. I don't think anyone the Flyers currently have is capable of giving them good goaltending for long stretches, including Stolarz (who has been good, btw.)As far as Crawford, maybe Simmonds and a pick or something along the line of Rubstov and Simmonds. |

Way too much for Quick or Crawford. |

For a Flyers goalie those numbers may be considered good, for the rest of the league, probably AHL quality numbers. |

Definitely would be hard to see a great player in Keith be moved.
I’m saying the same thing about Quick if he gets moved. I didn’t think he’d ever get traded. Like the kings and blackhawks alike. We as fans didn’t see this much of a landslide in the league in turns of being last. |

If Sekera can get a 1st and prospect (mckowen), then I can see Keith getting similar maybe a little more due to term. Yes I know how old he is and yes I know how many years left.
But when the kings made that trade for Sekera, I thought it was really stupid. Can’t remember if that trade the 1st was around where barzal went or if it was the Lucic deal that the kings could have grabbed barzal |

On the surface, great move to get a 2-time Cup winning goalie...but I really hope he doesn't get hurt again. This team is so bad, especially defensively. Quick is going to face a lot of shots. |
