Absolutely. That's the biggest take away from the game tonight besides the points. Murr looked good.

He did. I thought he was a bit shaky through the first half of the game, but then really settled in.

Especially after all the crap they've let L.A get away with, but what else is new?

Pens fans just complain about everything.

Lazy math says... .93 save percentage. I'd say Murray could be back, again.

Personally I think it's DeSmith's net at the moment.

Boyd I just accidently flagged your "They aren’t terrible though. They’re average. 49.82% while the Pens are 50.98%" hahah

I'd go with DeSmith, but I know they want to get Murray going.

Pens need to get these shot totals down.....41 tonight I think. Not going to matter who's in net giving up 40 and 50 shots.

When you're missing two of your starting wingers it's hard enough to keep the puck on your stick more often and when you're missing your #1 dman? It's going to be even harder.

I think the Pens will continue to bleed shots until they're healthier.

If Fluery played that same game tonight you guys would be all over him. Murray is dog poop. He did what a backup is suppose to do, let the team win while the starter takes a break.

Not too shabby lol

It sucks to let a guy like that go, but he wasn't going to get a chance here. I'm very happy with Petterson thus far though, so at least Sprong was moved for a piece the Pens can use.

Really? What are you seeing from Petterson? He looks pretty average to me.

Yeah, he's nothing dynamic or special, but he's a solid bottom-pairing dman who does all the little things pretty well.

Personally I think he's better defensively than JJ, Oleskiak and Ruhwedel. I think he has excellent awareness which has been helping to make up, at least a little bit, for the mistakes JJ commits and that alone is a major improvement.

No, it's not, so any improvement to the lineup is a good thing IMO. The fact he can clean up some of JJ's mistakes is huge.

He's basically Mark Eaton.

You continue to only post stupid dribble. .93 save percentage is never bad, starter, backup, my dead grandma... doesn't matter who was in net. That is a quality start.

Bottom pairing Dman, who wouldn't drown if pushed to the 2nd pairing when injuries occur... isn't that all we 'should' need when healthy? Plus, he still could grow into a mid pairing, hes got a few more years until he allegedly plateaus according to all those fancy projection charts.
