You won’t get Freeland with that offer
- BreathLeafs2015

Why not? He's (barely) RFA at the end of the year. Can't be worth much more...

I wonder if the Kings have any interest in Gauthier for Nate Thompson?
Pretty much and excellent 3rd or 4th line C with toughness and face-off skills. Been to the big games with Tampa a few years back and likely affordable, especially if the kings eat a little salary for a throw-away pick?

Nice stats. You guys see this already? Signed ELC.

Originally a fourth round pick by the Maple Leafs in 2017, Scott is currently starring on the WHL-leading Prince Albert Raiders. He made his pro debut last season with the Toronto Marlies, making one start last season in a 4-3 win over the Belleville Senators.

In 26 WHL games this season, he has a 23-2-1 record with a 1.61 goals-against average and .943 save percentage, leading the league in both categories.

He also has four shutouts this season. And one goal.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Prince Albert is 29-2-1 this season and are a juggernaut. This could be Pogge 2.0... though I don't think he ever scored a goal, so maybe not comparable?

May have been mentioned, but should listen to Scotty Bowman on TSN do his summary of both teams last night in Tampa. Got some insight on our team.

He said that he has obviously watched a lot of power plays, but has never seen one as controlled by the Leafs for the full two minutes in the 2nd last night.

Whatever. Guess I tend to look at what tweaks we can make to improve before season's end. As they say, you have to play the big boys to really gauge your team. Still 3 games in this series yet. And Willie and AM are not revving on all cylinders at this point. Tampa was a healthy crew last night . Vasy stood on his head. Credit to Tampa for the first one.
