McDavid is the fastest skater and the most skilled with the puck (puck handling and passing) of the three.

Matthews is less of the two than McDavid but also freakishly powerful and also has the best shot.

Eichel isn't #1 in any of those categories, but still does all of them at an elite level. The win column is what will put him at the top if he gets there.

Matthews has the shot, Jack is the better passer and probably a bit better skater even though AM is no slouch.

Thompson has had his moments and has a tremendous amount of skill, but his overall game is lacking and he hasn't scored a point in six games

I think it's hard to actually say because there are so many different types of shots. Eichel has a pretty wicked wrister. But Matthews has the better one timer. Is one better than the other technically? Probably not. They're just different.

Okposo and Moulson have both been paid handsomely by the Sabres after big years riding the coattails of a star player. Skinner is better then both of the aforementioned at the time they got paid but without Eichel he's a 55-60 point player. Kane and JVR both got $7M annually. Giving him $8.25M is more then enough imo.

This is a true statement.

Jack would get everyone's 2nd lines against him. The shield that JT is giving to Matthews is GREATLY underrated. Matthews is a monster and tearing it up but perspective.

I don't think I've seen it mentioned but I think Jack is the best all around player of AM and McDavid as well. Neither of them are even debatable to be above average on defense.

Besides the top line he had the most shot attempts last night, and was a half foot from scoring on a deflection at the end of the 2nd.
