Starting to sound like LTIR.

Stubbed vagina?
Jersey allergy?

Probably pissed he’s getting 4th line treatment.

Good riddance then.

Playing BEHIND larrsson and girgs killed his spirit

If he wants a trade, I'm not sure this is the way to do it

With Wilson coming back and the quality depth we have in Rochester waiting to come up, Berglund probably sees the writing on the wall with his playing time.

* 2nd line treatment - according to some

This would be incredible.
Like a free 2nd round pick.
Cap space.

per spector

Sportsnet’s Josh Beneteau listed the Buffalo Sabres, Colorado Avalanche, New York Islanders, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Vegas Golden Knights as five clubs that could make a trade for Pietrangelo.

- homiedclown

Wonder what it would take to get him?
At $6.5m would need to be a significant contract going out...Pommer makes most sense as his contract is gone next year, so doesn't hurt them long-term.
Nylander + ... Guhle/McCabe?
I like McCabe, but he will be due a bump in contract, whereas Guhle will be on entry...will need those cheeper contracts to offset a $6.5m player acquisition.

I don’t 100% disagree, but I can imagine in any scenario where a team would value Scott Wilson over Berglund.

He must not get a long with Phil because it’s been a rocky start since he got here

Berglund was given PP time for a while, and an opportunity to play center in a bigger role, but he said he doesn't feel comfortable playing center. Yeah, it sucks playing with grinders, but he kinda put himself there

Scott wilson = 5th round value
Pat berglund = negative 2nd round value

Sure right now.

If anyone in the world said we can’t wait for 6 goal Scott Wilson to come in and replace 17 goal Patrik Berglund to start the season, I’d have to ask what world they are living in.

Right now, (frank) Berglund I hope they can terminate his deal, that would be a huge win

Berglund is referred to as the "swedish godfather " to all the young swedish players.

Very upset about being a healthy scratch in San jose.

I absolutely thought he would be a good piece. I'm just rolling at the poop O'Reilly got for his "lost the love for the game" quote and how our losing was partly blamed on it, now this guy literally quits in a season where our culture was magically fixed

I would 100% take Scott Wilson over Burgland, 10 of 10 times.
Factor in contract value and if becomes 2x on everyday and 3x on Sundays.
Hecwas given prime opportunity and has failed miserably.
Wilson gives 120% on every shift.
Each might get you 10 Gs 15pts.
I'll take the high energy, great attitude and low contract.

We don’t know the full situation yet but if he legitimately quit, (frank) him.

If he was told he was going to be scratched again, so he decided to stay home, (frank) him but I can see why he’d be pissed. It’s not like Sobotka, Okposo, have been any better

Sure.
Isn't that THE point though?
Who really cares about the past.
I'm only considering going forward with the Sabres.
Personally, we don't need Wison either...but at $800k for 1 year, he isnt a problem.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like they let him be "sick" the last two games to get his head out of his ass, and when he was still mopey, they suspended him

Save $3m for same production, better attitude, and playing high energy on an energy line.
Sounds like a perfect fit.
The other guy thinks he is a top 6 player who is now sulking.
No brainer.

They’re both pawns. The only thing to root for here is Cap savings that can turn into higher value pieces

After the last shift of the first period vs. Boston (home openr) and he didnt hustle to save time on the icing?

It was obvious to me, HE SUCKED.

Agreed.
I responded to the comparison originally posted by another.

But interesting the hate continues for Wilson by many.
Last season was funny...many were criticizing him early on...then came around to the reality he is an ok player.
Sounds like we are back again.
