Oh believe me I know. How do you think the Reinhart poopfest started. It's cause I was busy defending Eichel when he was shooting at a 4.97% clip haha

But, send hudwick to Rochester or waivers without taking a look at him in a Sabres uniform?
- Boss34

Even if they send Pilut back to the AHL when everyone (including Hunwick) is healthy, there's still too many guys. To start the season, we had 7 guys. So you're sitting one each game to begin with. You can only have 23 men on the roster. Do you really want to carry 2 extra Dmen each night? THat leaves like no wiggle room for a guy to end up with a DTD injury and be able to call someone up.

Risto
McCabe
Scandella
Beaulieu
Bogo
Nelson
Dahlin
Hunwick

Was a great pass. The whole play was pretty textbook. Eichel forcing the d-men into that half shot, the Reinhart pass, the Eichel pass, and the finish by Jeff. Was great stuff
- Pegullaville

Agree, just nice to see. If we want a playoff spot, we need that line to work. Pommer can't hack it long term. Was kind of refreshing to see all three contribute to a goal and really be overpowering for an entire game.

People also forget McCabe lives next to Jack and Reinhart. He also has been like their dad. He is the one who kept checking on them to make sure they had food and would cook them dinner. Jack might want to keep him around.
- BigDog912

he also has more of a history with Housley. Housley was the coach of team USA the year McCabe was the captain of that team.

Yeah, I just don't see them moving him. Scandella, Nelson, Hunwick and Blow U would all be on the block first IMO. Forgot about the USA days, good call.

That's a tough list to say "when everyone is healthy "

Solar eclipse is more likely.

I think they can carry 2 in the press box?
Usually 1 forward and 1 defenseman

Pommer was doing the exact same thing with skinner and eichel.

Playing well, scoring goals, riding coattails.

If you swap sam and pommer , you will swap their productivity.

You may even get more goal scoring out of pommer.
Couple whiffs for sam last night...... again

No, Pommer was slowing down. Don't believe me that Samson is the superior player? Check their stats away from Eichel and get back to me.

You were doing so well, sipped the Hatorade again, huh? And after that pass last night and the good board play...jeesh.

Edit: I believe Samson has one of the longest point streaks in the league right now. Just figured I'd add this.

Except Pommer couldn't hack it long term, Reinhart can that is the biggest difference.

Pommer had a great little stretch but he slowed down big time. He cannot handle playing those kind of minutes. Reinhart can.

It's shocking that two people in the world don't agree on everything. Who woulda thunk it?

1.) Stop yelling

2.) Yeah it's broken, McCabe is missing/hurt

3.) Play the best 6 if you want to be a true contending team

4.) Play the best 6 if you want to keep building for the future

5.) #3 and #4 is the same lineup IMO

6.) That lineup is:

Dahlin-Bogo
Risto-Pilut
McCabe-Bowl-U

7.) Scandella needs to be traded

8.) Nelson and Hunwick can battle it out for who is the 7th D

- Stripes77

Small sample size, but I think out of all our defensemen, Pilut has looked the most sound defensively.

He has to stay up.

I wonder if Marco has any value in the trade market.

One of his first goals of the year, he took a cross check to the face, got up slowly, then hammered home a rebound 2ft from the crease.

The first comment I heard was, "Good for him, but he didn't really have to do anything but put it in the empty net"

He's the new RoR, I've accepted it.

The difference is one person can prove the other person is wrong here but that one person refuses to believe it

I keep trying to become a Mod so I can just ban those that don't agree with me. It hasn't worked yet, but trust me you're the first to get the axe!

Pilut has been playing pro hockey for a while, I thought it would take him more time to adjust to the North American sized rinks and the physicality of the game over here, so far it looks like I was wrong.

I think the kid has it. He isn't going to be a top pairing guy, but I think his game has had a positive outcome and affect on Risto's game as well.

Yup, and that's no slight on Pommer given his age. If it was a half dozen years ago, he may very well have been the better option.

Sam has been hated on since his first real pro season

He could put up 75 points this year and people will still not give him any credit

I'd put him on the first PP though with eichel, skunk and Skinner if playing 1 d man

That sounds like prudent planning. 3rd line minutes, but PP usage to get the most of that shot of his. I'd like to see him there over Tage or Bergy, even though Tage is coming on slowly. At least he isn't the dumpster fire he was at the start of the year.

I'd say it was more adequate than good. He also had some pretty bad turnovers; I counted 3. What I'm noticing is that he'll often make a pass in the defensive zone from the boards with his back to the play without taking a look first.

But yes, the sauce pass was saucy for sure.
