He takes what he hears the trusted guys say, waits 36 hours, rebastes it with his own twist (ala one of the bigger market/followerships on here is looking into said player), claims it as his own, moves on and doesnt respond to people questioning him when they point out a Dreger/McKenzie/Friedman suggested the same possible deal 2 days earlier.

Honestly I think the Oilers may be better off working from within, than bargaining from a position of weakness. When everybody knows what you need and they got it - the price will go up - simple supply and demand. Other than the Lightning ,Flames,San Jose, And Anaheim till the beginning of February. The Oilers have a fairly agreeable schedule.
