Oh, I misread that. I think?

But yeah, glad to see Nurse succeed.

In the long run though, if Nurse can continue to succeed, I think that Klefbom would probably have to beat him to regain his spot, which isn't a bad thing. That would only benefit this team. In that case, it gives this team options and makes our lineup that much more dangerous.

Having a top 4 corps containing Nurse, Larsson, & Klefbom all blossoming and still not in their primes (around 27-28 for the typical defender) would be a sight to see.

Then with Bouchard, Jones, & possibly Lagesson developing in the AHL/minors...

that defensive corps ain't too shabby.

I think you did misread it I’m not taking anything away from anyone but agreed....you can never have too much of a good thing....I said yesterday I like our future blueline better then our present one

My question for everybody is, if we are in a position to be buyers this year. Are they gonna go for an offensive minded puck moving d man, or a firing winger?
- herecomesGUMP

Tough call.

I would go for the firing winger. Cheaper to acquire and would bolster our depth into the playoffs.

The same thing could be said for a defender (in terms of depth) but methinks it would cost more to acquire such a piece.

Id fell more comfortable with Chiapet, going for a couple reclamation projects, or project players. He has better luck with those, than the big ticket deals. Lol bring Christian Erhoff back from the dead and see how he does over Garrisson.

Starting to think this is the best approach to take with our lineup.

If we could pick up Stone in FA though....

That would be awesome.

I don't think it is out of the realm of possibilities though. It would just take some smart cap management... oh wait... (frank)kkkkk!

He did how ever pull a good on with Koskinen, especially since we got a lot of garbage time out of Talbot, this year.

Seems that Chia does best when it comes to the small things. I would only hope that would be the way he approaches this as well.

As for Erhoff... I haven't heard that name in quite some time. Isn't he playing in Europe atm?

After a quick round of Lougle. He actually retired this year. He was playing in Germany. I remember it was just after the Cam Barker experience, that Buffalo got to have the Christian Erhoff experience. I was glad the oilers didnt bite at him after his buyout.

Soooo you paid for a season ticket and joined the site on November 3rd, then decided to wait until yesterday or December 13th to make your first post? Makes perfect sense.

If you've been "following" half as long as you claim you would know 99.99999999999% of what ek says is click bait. Odds are none are available. He takes what he hears the trusted guys say, waits 36 hours, rebastes it with his own twist (ala one of the bigger market/followerships on here is looking into said player), claims it as his own, moves on and doesnt respond to people questioning him when they point out a Dreger/McKenzie/Friedman suggested the same possible deal 2 days earlier.

If it makes you feel any better, I will start a go find me, and you can send me $3.98/month, I can come up with his same rumors from other rumor sites, compile a personal opinion of where the most highly rumored players could wind up, and charge you 1 penny less.

For example a fair to expect EK article in the next day or two:

Is the goaltending market heating up? With Smith injured in Calgary, and Toronto not content with their backup, and Phili clearly not happy with any of the 5 starters so far this season, could teams be shopping options? More to come.
