I cancelled my cable this year so games have been spotty for me. I can’t stand bars because they play music during the (frank)ing games. Has Guentzel played much with Brassard this year?

Guentzel is good in his own right, but the Sidney Crosby factor plays a big role in it.

Of course it does, but that doesn't make Guentzel any less valuable. It takes a certain type of player to keep up with Sid in all aspects of the game. If it were easy to find him a winger, Kuhnhackl would still be a Penguin and playing on the first line.

Not really. Jake was briefly shuffled around, very briefly.

I could see them revisiting Guentzel with Brassard once we're fully healthy. Simon plays pretty well with Sid, so maybe they look to spread the wealth a bit to get the third line going. Something like:

Simon-Crosby-Hornqvist
Pearson-Malkin-Kessel
Guentzel-Brassard-Rust
3 Plug Line featuring Matt Cullen

There’s a lot of options once healthy. I still believe they need to add one more impact forward if they want to be a true contender.

Everything considered I think Pens need a third line center.
