He doesn't have a 2-way contract, I think the only thing could be emergency call-up but even then, if he doesn't have a 2-way contract, I don't think they can call him up.
- BeadyEyedDouche

2-way contracts have nothing to do with being called up/sent down. Only affects how they are paid.

The Sabres would have to sign him to an NHL deal and then he would go through waivers as well.
- CoHo_to_B-Lo

Thought of that after I posted my response. My guess is they don't want to risk losing him because Rochester is doing so well.

Anyone notice Jack Dougherty in the minors?

10gp 1g 4a 5pts, +11

He's the guy we got for Bapper if I remember correctly. Does anyone know about him? Is he a legit prospect or was that AHL transfers?

- RhinoFan

Legit prospect
Pretty good skater, andcan be a bit scrappy
Went in round2 of the 2014 draft
One of the defensemen i wanted us to take instead of wasting picks on Cornel & Karabacek

He’s still young,
but tips out as a 2nd pair guy
Probably just ends up a decent bottom pair guy though imo

He’s signed to an AHL contract by Rochester
So no, he can not be recalled-
even in an emergency situation

The Sabres would have to actually sign him
And only then, could he be called up

Thanks for this fitz.

I remember a number of people clamoring over him after our draft, pissed that we went the other way. I like the sounds of that.

I doubt he’d be claimed
Someone would have to keep him on their NHL roster if they did so
He’s not a prospect anymore
Just one of those guys who isn’t an NHLer,
but just a really good AHL player

So if a new team claimed him, and then wanted to send him down,
they’d have to put him through waivers again
And then we could simply reclaim him,
and send him up & down without waivers

This situation happened to 1 of our players a couple years ago
I can’t remember who though

What #2 center could help our wingers though. Now if you added Tarasenko on the 2nd line with Mitts, would this not help Mitts as well as providing a second true scoring line? Keep Skinner, Eich and Samson on the top line and Sheary, Mitts and Tara as the second.

Looks like he's about 1m under his previous two year's average.

He isn't getting a ton of less minutes, just a better team and partners.

- RhinoFan

He played a lot more earlier in the season though when Dahlin was getting less time. I could see it lower by the end of the year.

There is. My friend works and M&T. They haven't been evacuated but he said the sirens and stuff are all over the place.

NU is saying it is a hoax due to poorly worded emails and vague descriptions. But why risk it with how poop is nowadays. This is all over the US right now not just Buffalo

Sure thing bud

I haven’t watched him at all since he has been in the AHL though
So I’m not really sure how he’s progressed other than what I’ve read

I did see him play a couple NCAA games that were televised the year after he was picked
Looked ok on a pretty bad Wisconsin team if i remember right

Maybe its not worth the hassle but the point I'm making is when the injuries pile up and we need someone to step in for a few games, if we want to leave the younger guys in Roch to develop and keep getting big minutes, I'd rather call up the guy playing the best hockey that will not be a liability out there. That's not Tennyson.

Our injured defensemen are all due back soon, so for now it shouldn’t really be an issue anymore

He's not the first person to provide information a second time. You can just as easily ignore him the way you're basically asking him to ignore you.

Practice what you preach.
