Let me rephrase that. yes Terasanko would be flipin great. I just think we would be better served with a play making #2 Center. Mitts is not ready to be that guy just yet, maybe in a year or two, but not know.
- hehateme

What #2 center could help our wingers though. Now if you added Tarasenko on the 2nd line with Mitts, would this not help Mitts as well as providing a second true scoring line? Keep Skinner, Eich and Samson on the top line and Sheary, Mitts and Tara as the second.

Risto had his best corsi night of his career last game

Call me crazy but I really think the light in his head finally turned on

Risto's contract is going to look like a bargain soon

- Stripes77

I agree. He looks like a completely different person on the ice. I like it.

I agree, not necessarily with the light in his head, but because he has some help now and isn't playing 30+ a night. Weight off his shoulders has definitely helped.

Yeah, after putting more thought into it, we can send them a haul and not have to send Risto.

The thing about Tarasenko is he has a full NMC that kicks in next year... and that IMO drives his value up, in this case. You have a 1st line RW for 4 years and no threat of losing him to anything except injury, and at a bargain 7.5 million. This is basically the contract Evander Kane got.

If we can do one or both of McCabe, Guhle and then throw in Okposo, Nylander and a 1st, it gets done.

Risto looks like he's turned a corner, but I think it's more the Dahlin effect and that's not a criticism. He's playing a little less, and has a little less of a load on his shoulders.

McCabe hasn't impressed me since before last season and a change to the Western Conference can do him good, I think that's more his style.

Maybe he was just on some horrendous teams and was paired with Josh Gorges for stretches of his career.

Averaged 26:30 the last 2 years and 25:42 this year. Not a huge change in ice time

Nobody likes me anywhere. Other than Big Mike, and he’s usually into the vodka.

I have to pay my kids to spend time with them.

I have no friends, I can't pay any to be my friend either, they said no.

Already is.... he’s playing the best hockey of his career ( as soon as they got him some help). Go figure!

His zone exits look better now that he's passing to NHL-caliber forwards

Hmm

Imagine that?

Now if they can get that partner for Dahlin assuming Pilut stays with Risto

Even though I am not hating Bogo's game he isn't top pairing material

Scandella needs to go
Tenneyson should be shot into the sun

God I hope one of the 3 guys we have out comes back soon. I think I'd rather just play each game with 5 D to be honest.

Pilut and Dahlin's additions seem to have helped him. He isn't trying to do it all by himself. He has made some great plays pinching down the wall and either cutting to the net or wrapping.

100% agree, good point.

Looks like he's about 1m under his previous two year's average.

He isn't getting a ton of less minutes, just a better team and partners.

To be fair, Pilut was talking about how Redmond really helped him in RoChaCha. Tenny just doesn't belong in the big league. Love what he brings to the farm squad though.

He always had the tools to be successful. I think Dahlin is helping him as not only is he the best d-man he's played with in his time here, but im sure all the attention Dahlin gets has motivated Risto to show the NHL there is another Rasmus on the Sabres worth some attention as well.

What about Zach Redmond? He's having a really solid season in Roch. I know he only has an AHL contract, can the Sabres sign him and call him up? How does that work?

He doesn't have a 2-way contract, I think the only thing could be emergency call-up but even then, if he doesn't have a 2-way contract, I don't think they can call him up.

They could sign him to an NHL deal, but it depends on if we even have the space to do so. You can only have 50 guys under contract. That includes the ones that are in Jr still. 50 total contracts per club. According to CapFriendly, we're at 48/50. Not entirely sure how accurate that is though.

The Sabres would have to sign him to an NHL deal and then he would go through waivers as well.
