Seabrook and Keith-
wow those contracts, is there a trade that you would accept to bring Keith to Philly?

Hopefully the Flyers can win tonight, but if this win one, lose one continues through the month they are going to need a 20 game win streak to make the playoffs. |

No. His issues were injury related. He had that wrist issue from the golf club which healed but still bugged him that year, he also had the hip issue which bugged him for 2 seasons. Giroux is a top player no matter where he plays. Look at the Buffalo game as an example. Guy was dominant and he is one of the best faceoff guys in the game.. I have him in my fantasy league as a keeper because we count faceoff wins. Guy is invaluable. I worry about what comes after he retires. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
The injuries might explain the drop to the 7 to 9% goals per shot range... But, it does not explain his 13 to 14% range, down 9 to 12% range over the longer term. And, it does not explain jumping up to the 12 to 17% range since moving to the wing... |

25 James van Riemsdyk - 28 Claude Giroux - 11 Travis Konecny
12 Michael Raffl - 14 Sean Couturier - 93 Jakub Voracek
21 Scott Laughton - 19 Nolan Patrick - 17 Wayne Simmonds
23 Oskar Lindblom - 15 Jori Lehterä - 22 Dale Weise
Lineup really looks a lot better with G in the middle.
Laughts and Lindblom need to be flipped, tho. |

Of course I am, they will probably need another 35-36 more wins to make the playoffs, there are 54 games left in the season. They need wins and not a lot of games left to lose. |

That’s setting the bar about as low as it can go. Pretty much the equivalent of claiming another goalie to be more durable than Neuvirth |

Let's hope the Giroux line spends most of the time in the offensive zone tonight, otherwise it is going to be a long night again. |

Winning just under 65% of their remaining games seems like a really tall order. |

They can do it!! Maybe other teams just lose a lot more.
When was the last time a team made it in the playoffs under 90 points?
Found it...Minnesota in 2015-16 made it in a wild card spot with 87 points. I haven't found anyone else. I figure mid-90 points to high-90s for a playoff spot. |

30th and 31st in PP and PK. You have to work at it to be that bad. And WTF is Lindblom doing on the 4th line?
Can't wait to get a whole new coaching staff in here.

Assuming 95 points will get them into the playoffs they need to get 63% of all remaining possible points. That's a really tall order for a team that has 48% of YTD possible points.
At 90 points for playoffs they'd need to get 58% of remaining possible points. Even that is a tall order. Plus, I don't think 90 is enough anyway. |

I have been using the above as my guide compared to previous years.
All the Flyers have to do is go 35-19 the rest of the year to get 97 points. |

Not saying he's better, but no harm in trying this guy out here. We know what Lehtera brings and it ain't much. |

Anything short of taking a penalty every time he steps on the ice and/or simply not moving would be a mild downgrade compared to Lehtera. |

Mathematically it looks like they are in the wildcard hunt (or even a divisional spot) but it is hard to gain ground when you give up more than you score and your special teams are at or near the bottom. |
