I hate you guys for bringing up lunch. I'm starting to go through the ketchup packets at my desk.
Lunch can't get here soon enough. |

No one on here is ignorant of MJl's..."unique" style of conversing. Yes, he comes off as a condescending know-it-all often (and I come off as a cocky, annoyingly sarcastic ass often enough). But if he really, truly bothers you that much, act like an adult and just ignore his posts like I do. Don't even read them, just scroll on by. It will save the rest of us you making outlandish boasts in a doomed effort to try to "pwn" him (as the kids say). - jmatchett383
I didn’t make any outlandish boasts. I just did to him what he does to everybody else. I guess nobody puts baby in a corner. |

P.S. I don't want pizza for lunch - Glak18
We need some anti-inflammatory foods. I'm not sure what that is but we're hiring a nutritionist. Please, whoever is invited, dress nice. There is a dress code. Afterwards, anything posted on the event must be cleared first.

I didn't say that.

I offer this same message to my daughters. You answer for you. He/She was doing this or that is not a valid excuse for you acting poorly. |

Exactly, I try my best to ignore the ones I don't want to converse with. In all fairness MJL may bother many with his....MJLness, but at least he tries to discuss his opinions instead of wanting others to agree just because that's what you are suppose to do. |

Now do you squirt the ketchup on your finger then eat it or just shove the packet in your mouth and chew? |

It would be easier if he didn’t personally respond to every single post in order to arrogantly state his opinion. - Shrike
If you have read on here for any length of time, you can at least appreciate a few things about posters you don’t agree with on some things. There is always good things to notice about everyone’s style of communication as well. Hardly anyone is all bad. Lots of times I just agree to disagree and forget about it. I do just ignore somethings but rarely all of a posters comments.
After all, I try to remember, we all want the same thing.

And 12 pages of Mjl being a jerk every day for years is quaint? - Shrike
Everyone on this page is a jerk to everyone on this page. It’s just that some gang up on the ones they like least to combined their forces. |

agreed, MJL and I have had some disagreements but on the whole we actually agree more than we disagree. He defends Hextall more than most, I am ok with that, he is passionate about it.
thinking about it, I was having more fun arguing with MJL

I am not against putting Patrick as 3C, but give him someone to play with, no? Simmonds is a major drag at even strength and Laughton had his best games in the first 10 of the year, but since has been just what we all think he is, a fast checking line guy. This hosing of Lindblom is ridiculous. the best games for Lindblom, Voracek, and Patrick came when they played together. Patrick is not ready to carry a Laughton-Simmonds wing pair, but Couturier can. Additionally, I am a huge Michael Raffl fan, have always loved the way he plays the game, but he's not a second line winger in the NHL. He needs to slot down a little bit.
Why doesn't Hakstol try something like this (with this personnel):
JVR - Giroux - Konecny
Lindblom - Couturier - Simmonds
Raffl - Patrick - Voracek
Laughton - Lethera - Wiese
This wouldn't be my favorite way to run the lines, but it's just a bit better than what Bill has listed.
The best possible scenario is more like this:
JVR - Couturier - Konecny
Giroux - Patrick - Voracek
Lindblom - Laughton - Simmonds
Raffl - Lethera - Weise
My logic is this: Lindblom, Grioux, Couturier, and Raffl are the primary play drivers on the team. You put each of them on a different line with at least one other guy who can absolutely play at their level and a second who needs a little pulling. JVR, Patrick, Simmonds, and Lethera are the anchors, but if you surround them with guys who can play above the level of the line they are on, you can get them the results. Patrick, as a right handed center can really benefit from having the best passer on the team on his left wing, JVR has the best defensive player and the most dynamic offensive forward to cover his defensive lapses and lack of pure speed, Laughton and Lindblom can control the puck and play defense while Simmonds does whatever it is he does at even strength (also that line will forecheck really well and Lindblom and Laughton backcheck well too), and Raffl gets stuck with the dead weight, but Weise has been playing well since coming back into the lineup.
There is one other possibility, with Giroux staying at center that could work pretty well to get some of the guys who need boosts boosted:
JVR - Giroux - Raffl
Konecny - Couturier - Simmonds
Lindblom - Patrick - Voracek
Laughton - Lethera - Weise - ritns028
I love your first pair of lines. |
