I remember my first NHL game at the Spectrum, Clement and Doc were the awesome duo then. I was sitting first row in the upper deck center ice and before the game Clement came walking up. My jaw dropped and he saw me looking. He came over to say hi and I spent the whole time with my mouth open while my dad talked to him.

Great story! I remember he and Doc Emerick did the game where Primeau scores that 5OT game winner. As each overtime ended, he would remove another pice of clothing. He had his tie wrapped around his head while doing the broadcast. Those were the days! Of course he was admonished and reprimanded by ESPN. That’s kinda when all the PC bullish!t started. Sad!

It’s been since the Richards days since they had a lineup where you knew the hockey sense was at the level it needs to be.

The last time this team truly played as hard as you would expect was when Keith Primeau was here.

At some point, players need to execute and get better. Or they need to get replaced.

With the exception of one season, Giroux has CLEARLY been the best player this team has had since 2012. And he was hurt that season he wasn’t.

These guys need to work harder, be tougher, and just find a way to get the damn job done
