I wonder what team shows up tonight ? it's hard to know. Bill shows Stollie starting, both my sports apps have Nuevy in net...yikes. Calgary is a good team playing well and Edmonton appears to have turned a corner as well....Two really good tests that might go a long way to which path Fletcher takes with this team. |

I like G at center for now and want to see how his line goes with some REAL center depth. Would like a bit different look.
JVR, G, TK
Lindblom, Patrick, Jake
Laughton, Coots,,Simmer
Raffl, Lehtera, Weiss
Last time Coots centered that line he had 4 goals and 2 assists in 2 games vs the Pens.
Can't stop all 3 of those lines and the 4th Is big, solid d and 2 can skate. |

This is true. Sadly, AMac has had about 3 good games all season. - BiggE[url]
he hasn't been good....actually he's been terrible. I'm not a big AMC guy, but he's better then what he's playing. Hopefully the D is addressed along with the goalies....although that is easier said then done .

I like that Hak is changing it up....he needs too. G is great at either position. Where ever he helps the rest of the lineup is where he should play, based on depth issues.

Playing Giroux at center is probably best for the Flyers right now. Long term it's not the best thing for Giroux. |

If it works in the short term it would also help them if they make a trade. I know centers will draw a high price but when you deal from desperation the overpay is even more. The lines give Raffle and Laughton time to showcase their value. |

And some of that will go towards extending Provy, TK and Sanheim. Factoring in the increase and re-signing those 3, they should have about 25-28 million to work with and will need to add 2 goalies, and at least 3-4 forwards. |

I agree. People tend to forget there was a reason that he was moved to the wing. His game at center was slipping. I think he'll do fine back at center for a while, but his game will slip again over the long haul. Obviously, part of these depends on who's playing on his wings. If/When G goes back to the wing... I would like to see him on Nolan's wings - I don't think Hak has played him there??? I don't think anyone has thrown it out there as an option? Nolan is in a sophomore slump, G may help him out of it and help his long term development in the NHL. |

I think Giroux is just as capable at center as he is at wing. The issue in my opinion is more wear and tear. I think the best shot at keeping Giroux a top player longer is to play him on the wing. |

I am only counting active contracts which is 11. I get 12 guys have to be signed with thst but 51 is a huge wiggle room. Especially considering you expect some rookie contracts to be there |

Did you have lunch with each of the defensemen to find this out or is this another one of your opinion that you treat as a fact. - Shrike
AMac is a legit NHL defenseman, just not a top-pair player like he was cast. When at his best, he's a very valuable player on our young blue line. Sadly, he hasn't been at his best most of the year. That still makes him a much better choice than Folin. |

The move had to be made with the way Patrick is playing.
They have to figure out a way to get him going. With him dropping to the 3rd line it seems like a solid time to get him back with Lindblom who he seemed to have chemistry with

It's $31M. Where are you getting the $51M? Are you confusing cap space with salary ("real-dollar") expenditure? |

And, I think there is more pressure at the center position. People tend to judge the value of the line by the center, more-so than the wingers. Not that G can't handle it, he has and will continue to be a great center. When he got moved to wing, he excelled at wing, which may have been him feeling more at ease. |

Folin is awful. Amac, when playing is well is much better player than Folin. |

I agree with the wear and tear issue. He's just not a big body and on the wing he can focus more on creating o huh he's done. |

The talk that Fletcher is going to make major roster moves in a bid to make the playoffs is scary. This team is toast with Coach Clueless in charge. |

all the forwards totaled 32 mil.....which is probably where he got his number...the D totaled 14 mil.....so ya your right...but that doesn't include any RFA's or UFA's or players that will be added or subtracted. |
