Patrick will easily see his lowest ice time in the past 5 games, lets hope he does something with it, bro.

I disagree.

Let's hope Couturier's demotion doesn't play in his head.

But that's my point. Yeah, against AHL/NHL split squads, Vorobyov (who's still young) looked good. Once it was all NHL competition, he looked out of place, because preseason and regular season are different beasts. So I put little stock in preseason, especially for AHL vets.

I have nothing against Knight, I just see him as a tweener at best. H e wasn't especially BAD by any means, but he didn't stand out to me, either.

- jmatchett383

Yeah, he did stand out to me in that limited viewing, but three games isn’t enough for me to say for sure that he can be that 11/12/13 PK role player. I wish I could have seen him more to know.

Look guys. You all will never hand me any credit about anything but Hakstol is finally doing things the right way by filling all the center spots with a very basic adjustment that I’ve screemed for since JvR was signed July 1st. Quickly getting to my point, Nolan Patrick centering the third line is so not a big deal. It’s far from. Giroux is 30, and so the circle of life will only hand Patrick the first line center spot before you know it...
- SuperSchennBros

Why do you say that about Hakstol? The only thing I like is he's at least trying to shake things up. Im still not sure that this guy hasn't lost some of these guys, because they continue to be extremely inconsistent. That has not changed.

I have always thought your idea had merit and would have tried it out a few weeks ago.

I agree. People tend to forget there was a reason that he was moved to the wing. His game at center was slipping. I think he'll do fine back at center for a while, but his game will slip again over the long haul. Obviously, part of these depends on who's playing on his wings. If/When G goes back to the wing... I would like to see him on Nolan's wings - I don't think Hak has played him there??? I don't think anyone has thrown it out there as an option? Nolan is in a sophomore slump, G may help him out of it and help his long term development in the NHL.
- leon neon

I think his game at center was slipping at the time because:
- no viable lw options for his line
- no viable 2c to take off the pressure
- he was injured

Now those aren't issues any more

Coots could see it as a demotion too, but I doubt he will. I guess you could call it a demotion in linemates for Patrick.
- Glak18

Couturier is a well established NHL player. It's a different situation.

Of course it did and he was ridiculed and chastised for it over and over by people , not you, who now think it makes sense.

Nope, question was not worded like that, do NOT try to apply logic or interpretation or you will be shunned.
- ClaudeFather

if you asked a question and I asked a question and we agreed it was the same question, would it be the same question?
