Yes Colliton blame the team you weak, no talent. No doubt the team has no respect for you and your Tier 2 Swedish Beer League resume. That you fooled Nepotism Bowman, who knows all about having a job he doesn’t deserve, was only the first step. You have no novel, special coaching skills, coaching ideas. The rest of the NHL is just laughing.

Keep going with your idiocy - this from someone who actually knows something.....

this is from Pierre LeBrun on The Athletic today.....

Let me start with a conversation I recently had with a rival NHL GM who couldn’t believe the arrows Stan Bowman has been taking. The GM said Bowman doesn’t get nearly enough credit for the way he finessed the cap and re-modeled the Hawks numerous times en route to three Cups. His point was that what’s happening now is just reality for championships teams in the cap era. Looks at Pittsburgh and Los Angeles this season as well. You pay a price for winning too long. You re-up your core with deserved yet cap-challenging contracts. It gives you so much less leeway. You can’t miss on top draft picks. Anyway, I’m just passing this on because the GM in question said the Hawks would be crazy to fire Bowman.

No D-Zone System on the planet should be forcing both D-Men into one corner “chasing the puck”, leaving the front of the net totally open. Nor should both wingers be forced down low “chasing the puck” leaving the points totally open. As Mayers says this is SYSTEM not player mistakes. In a game there should NEVER be a time where both D-Men are in one corner where ONE pass traps both of them. In a game there should NEVER be a time where both wingers are very low where ONE pass traps both of them. This is totally on Colliton.

Right. So are you saying that Colliton's system does, or are the players effing up?

It's all a matter of perspective. As a sox fan, I loved the Lou Brock trade and consider it one of the best in Chicago sports history.

And I loved the Jorge Bell for Sammy Sosa deal. Good times!!!!

Not sure what you have against Swedes, but he wasn’t coaching in a Swedish beer league.

After suffering a concussion in Mora IK’s (of the Hockey Allsvenskan, Sweden’s second-highest hockey league after the SHL) third game of the 2013-14 season, Colliton would decide to end his playing days and sign on with the club as their interim head coach. The interim tag was removed for the 2014-15 season, and Colliton coached Mora IK for three more seasons before electing to accept the head coaching role with Rockford. In his head coaching tenure with Mora IK, he posted a 98-57-18 record. His most successful season was 2016-17, in which his team posted a league-best 35-13-4 record and 105 points. Following the regular season, Mora IK would go on to defeat Leksands IF in six games, qualifying Mora IK for 2017-18 SHL play, the club’s first opportunity to do so since the 2007-08 season.

Yes exactly Hockey Allsvenskan - Tier 2 Swedish Beer League where you don’t even know whether your team will survive the week.

To all you armchair G.M.s here that think they know better - this is from Pierre LeBrun on The Athletic today.....

Anyway, I’m just passing this on because the GM in question said the Hawks would be crazy to fire Bowman.

In any case, the first thing you need to figure out is what does Hawks ownership want? I think it was clear when they made the coaching change that ownership and upper management wants to try to stay competitive and not go Full Monty on the rebuild. That’s fine as long as you recognize how much more difficult that is. Not everyone gets to come out of that approach looking like Boston. You need to draft as good as anybody for it to work.

Secondly, there needs to be a heart-to-heart with Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane. “Do you guys want to stick around for this reset/remodel of the franchise?” As an example, it’s clear to me that Carey Price endorsed what Marc Bergevin was doing last summer. He understood the reset the Habs were doing but believed that he would be part of it and help keep the Canadiens competitive through it and hopefully it wouldn’t be long before they came out of it an elite team. The jury is out on whether that last part happens in Montreal but at least there’s an understanding from the franchise player of where things are at. So unless it’s already happened, I think that’s a conversation you have with agent Pat Brisson along with Kane and Toews. Really it all has to start there before you look at next steps.

Seriously what would you expect a RIVAL GM to say ?? That Bowman is a terrible GM ??? Sorry.....not buying it. His FAILURES have been noted, scrutinized, and totally factual. NEW Leadership is desparately needed in this organization immediately.

It is Colliton’s System - the players are being told to “chase the puck.” Should NEVER be doing this.

So one GM likes Bowman - so what? Probably Montreal who has fleeced him many times over.

So here we are approximately 40% of the way through the season sitting with the leagues worst record and fewest amount of points. Standing first in line to the best shot at drafting #1 overall.

The primary goal for the remainder of this season is quite simple....keep losing, and maintain the worst record. Its the best possible outcome any fan can ask for. We’re bad. No questioning that. And if you’re gonna be bad you might as well be the absolute worst and get the #1 overall pick.

So as much as it hurts I encourage my fellow fans to do what I’ve been doing and root for more losses. The more we continue to lose we’ll stay right on track for the best shot at drafting a talent that can spark a rebuild in the coming years.

Let’s go Penguins!!!!

Happy you know how to cut and paste an article from LeBrun. What does this have to say about a team President that doesn’t know the first thing about player talent evaluation/development or roster construction? Yet, by many accounts wants/insists on being involved in Stan’s decisions. McD didn’t even know what offsides was ten years ago - yet here he is involved up to his elbows.

You can trot out this article to every post that’s critical of the front office - call us all “arm chair GMs” - but do you really think this is all an unavoidable demise - that no more functional front office could have maybe, just maybe navigated these waters more effectively? If not, then good for you and you’re entitled to your opinion. As for me, I’m not buying it. McD is a fraud - and the Hawks turnaround needs to start with his removal.
