It's been almost a year now and I still haven't found an SUV that I want to buy. FFS. I have driven just about everyone of them and I can find something wrong with them all. The new ones are coming out. Wife is bugging me about the 3rd row seating still. The 5 times a year it would even be used.
Really like the look of the new Toyota Rav 4s (not 7 passenger though) 4.99% financing though. UGH
Hyundai Santa Fe has the new XL version that is 7 passenger but Hyundai is too stupid to make a 8 speed transmission so the V6 gets keeps up with others in fuel economy.
Highlander was sweet but at 56 plus taxes, GFY for that thing. Not worth it.
Now that my wife is at home and just drives the kid to school, she has basically destroyed the Jetta diesel.
Sorry for my rant. |

I’d still sign EK. If people are seriously thinking that Edler/Tanev coming back is a good idea I have no idea how they wouldn’t see EK as an upgrade. He probably wouldn’t want to sign here anyway, so it doesn’t really matter but I’d offer him all the money on a shorter term. |

He is still better than lots of players in the NHL. - manvanfan
maybe but he's been through waivers and not one team wanted him at 3.15 per year and no one is beating down the Canucks door with trade offers. He has little to offer a team that someone much younger and cheaper can, he can basically stand in the way of younger players. |

If it's something you are gonna keep for 7-10 years go with a Toyota (rav4, Highlander or 4 runner). There is a reason they charge high interest on those vehicles. They actually last if you maintain them how they are supposed to be.

Oh yeah Canucks 5-2 |

Signing EK would be incredibly short sighted. We won’t be contending for a long time. I’d look forward to not being able to sign Hughes in 3 years because we signed a declining asset like EK to an 8 year deal. He ain’t signing a 3 year deal. Only true contenders should kick the tires on EK - CanuckDon

I am of the opinion that it would be a mistake long term. Having said that, I understand why people would want to sign him. No matter if he signs for 8 mill or 12 mill over 8 years (which will be the term he gets IMO), he will give you productivity in the first X amount of years of the contract, there is no doubt. I just hate how it would look long term, and you HAVE too look long term, especially with all of these awful contracts coming to light around the league. |

I wouldn’t offer him 8 years, but i’d give him $20m a year for 4 years |

Debatable, whether or not Gagner faired well in his recent call-up.
Seen 4 Sharks games this season, Karlson has zero idea where to be on the ice, when it is in the defending side of centre.
No Ducking Thank you, to Erik Karlson. |

Gotta say I agree. No point signing him now to an enormous contract that will be a burden by the time we’re really in a position to compete. - NewYorkNuck
I agree with Don also. We just need a couple of short term signings. We have a few prospects that are coming along. Draft another top end D this year. |

Sure. Then we can trade EP because we don’t have cap room for him. Brilliant |

I have it on good authority that cap space isn’t a problem. Our $11m 4th line isn’t a problem, how could one of the best d-men in the history of hockey be a problem? |

Was it you that said more bad decisions are made on July 1 that any other day?
If it was why the hell do you want to spend 20 mil on one player? |

I would take that cap space and save it for next year and offer sheet Matthews 15 mil 7 years and all the ads he can get at Bassant Motors |
