Officiating was slanted against you guys - totally fair to admit that.

I don't think... the game as a whole is anything to be disappointed about if you're a Rangers fan.

You guys are clearly in rebuild mode (and, unlike most franchises, started the process right away rather than flounder for 3+ seasons and degrading your trade assets).. but I love your work ethic.

That may not count for much in the standings now, but in a few years when your young players start filling in roster spots... that culture of work ethic is going to be the difference between the Oilers (pre-Hitch) and the Flames (under Peters).

I'm sure Buffalo thought the same with Eichel, or the Oilers with McDavid. No way do I sell off every vet and have a team full of rookies and young players. There has to be a healthy mix

Now that Kreider stopped scoring and the team keeps losing...this is painful

During the game last night i was mostly refreshing the baseball winter meeting updates

They are still way better than I thought they would be, and I had absolutely no delusions that they were going to beat Tampa last night. They have picked up a bunch of assets over the last two years, and personally, I think it is better for the team to play hard and be competitive than losing every game in order to finish last in the league and have an 18% chance at winning the Hughes lottery.

The record may take care of itself at the end of the year, and they are likely to still have some ping pong balls in the hopper. Hell, the Hurricanes were lucky enough to get Svenchnikov with only the 13th (or something like that) worst record.

As to Hayes, I would be happy if he signed. Hayes and Kreider are two guys I wouldn't mind surviving this rebuild, although obviously they have to trade Hayes if they can't sign him.

the only thing interesting left is ..
1. how fast they an sell off the excess B & C & D talent in vets tthey have
for letting ALL kids play as much as possible

Zucc Hayes Namestikov & any other vet talent any one wants to pay for...

Big possible A talent will require HANK getting out on his own (Full No TRade )
& allowing us to upgrade the team ,then combo him with anyone to get A talent

Any one on D now except Pionk is available , Shey included ,he may help get A talent back

2. I wanna see an entire team of 1st -2nd yr& 3 rd yr players and call ups to see what can be ,as few as can be of guys who wont be here when we turn pg.

My best bet is not next yr. either ,unless we turn a full 180 & figure out how to get top talent in the team, we got very little now to expect wins or even competitive gms

Pionk is a Brian Rafalski clone, all he needs is top D partner& our top pair is built

thought Shey could ,But watching him long enough to see NOT a top pair guy...
