My favourite part about this is when they win 2 or 3 in a row again everyone will completely ignore this and demand the sabres trade for patrick kane.

This is a tough place to be when this team is not faring well.
I'm bipolar enough.

I hope they can come back tonight.
Ciao for now all.

This is special for you

Thompson has the 2nd worst relative Corsi on the whole team (Sobotka is worst)

And his goals per 60 at even strength is only better than Girgs, Larsson & your boy Berglund

Has he looked better?
Sure
But that’s not saying much
He looked pretty brutal
And is he scoring consistently?
Not even close

Bottom line
for a guy talked about being a top6 guy THIS SEASON, to be on pace for 14goals...
that’s disappointing
Hopefully he can keep improving

But all 3 guys from StL are below expectations
And that’s a fact you just can’t argue

- jdfitz77

Actually if you expected more from Sobotka you were kidding yourself.

If Thompson ends up with 12-15 goals that’s absolutely fine for a 2nd-3rd line tweener who’s only played 64 total NHL games.

Berglund has been disappointing from a goal perspective, but where does he rank in rel corsi? Since he’s been used in a defensive role

Being outworked, at home, by a team playing with 4 D, that's under 500, and played last night.

Good thing they had that players only meeting the other day.

Broads , we still have a mostly roster of rookies , No winning experience or decent teammates to show them the way . The win streak was fun . but lets not get too excited . Team is still bonding and forming .

I’m not saying these guys suck...
but they haven’t lived up to expectations
And you know it
Have they been ok for the most part?
Yeah, i guess

But they’re in the group
(along with others- that i did mention)
who just aren’t giving us enough

***If Thompson continues his upward climb, then I’ll have to retract my current objections
But that’s to be determined

Couple years ago the flyers won 13 in a row and finished 12th in the east.

a bit before that, the sabres wen 16-4-4 to go from last to 7th in the east.

The eichel tank team won something like 5 out of 6 at one point.

This league is a parity poop show, winning streaks are more or less meaningless in defining a team's outlook. That's why we've got those pesky little underlying numbers that nobody likes.

False expectations . Was fun but gotta be real . We have the talent to do it all the time , but not at this stage of the team.

It is what it is. Obviously Id prefer they not do it in such an extreme fashion, but big picture they're still pretty much on pace to finish where most of us thought they would before the year started. Hardly cause for pitchforks.

Doubtful, but Thomas Chabot is probably one of the most exciting players in the world right now.

Literally something happening every time he's on the ice. Unfortunately about half the time that something isn't in the sens favour but as an outsider it's good tv.

Ok maybe just my frustration coming out. But switched to the Sens Preds game and more pace, more exciting. And no expectations

Im glad they addressed that (frank)ed up play in the intermission. Unfortunately pilut listened to the ref who for some stupid reason told him to play the puck.

I cant believe we're in here pissing about thompson and o'reilly instead of a total garbage move by a referee directly causing a two goal deficit when your team is still 17-9-4 still 6th in the league and still in a playoff spot

Berglund played at a pace of 24goals for the season last year

This year he’s on pace for 7

But please...
tell me more about his relative Corsi since they bumped him down from 2C to the forward who gets even less icetime than Larsson & Girgs

Come on man
How the hell are u not disappointed with him?

It’s not about expectations. It’s about how we react when the team wins, and how we react when the team loses.

One of us is pleased when the Sabres wins. One of us is pleased when they loose/regress.

Think about it.
