Squeaked out a 1.5 point win. Playing the top 8-2 team and my division leader this week.

I won 565 to 376. Dude picked a poop team.

I was winning by just a few points all week to 1st place in the division, I was 2nd, but he pulled ahead by 10 yesterday, so now I'm 3rd.

Shat.

- MattStrat

Yeah I almost lost due to Haag getting 15 PIMS and Koskinen getting a shutout.

Sam Bennett (frank)ing sucks. Zucc all day. Then Gus. Coyle would be an okay consolation prize. I want no part of Bennett. He’s a bum.

I really think Panik would be a good bottom six rental and could be had for a lot less than the other names.

"Multiple league sources have told The Athletic that Charlie Coyle is very much being dangled."

I wonder what MIN would want...

Ouch! When you get a score that high it’s just bad luck you had the opponent you did.

We had a lot of the same players yesterday but he had one extra man game over me and it was McDavid.

It wouldn't be an exciting move but he'd be okay. It's hard to actually figure out a deal for guys like him. Normally you throw a draft pick to AZ and call it a day. But even though his salary is relatively low ($2.8M), we still would need to send dollars out. I wouldn't trade Rust or Maatta for him. Sheahan? What do we really gain there?

Anytime I hear his name I think of his sick goal against us.

I want to keep him. I have zero interest in trading him unless its its very close to the deadline and the Pens are far out of playoff picture.

Honestly... I don't really hate the guy. I just hated his game after he got his big contract. At 700k....he's a nice complimentary type player. At 3 mil he can take his soft game and his 2 goals in his last 34 playoff games somewhere else.

Rust seems to be following a similar path unfortunately.

- madmike71

I liked Sheary. Playoffs are a weird sample size for production. He scored some big goals in the 2016 run.

I think Rust will be fine, a case of gripping the stick too tight/overthinking things.

Panik is a good player and if you do some stat comparisons he’s quite similar to Rust... when he’s good that is.

Zuc is $4.5M and is a right wing. I just dont see it as a good fit.

Put him on the 3rd line with Brass. Then you’ve got..

Jake-Sid-Horny
Pearson-Geno-Kessel
ZAR-Brass-Zucc
Rust-Sheahan-Simon

I'm not asking this in a snarky way, but what have you seen from him that makes you feel this way? I think his time here has been a complete bust. I just don't see a guy that comes to play every game. Far from it actually. I'm actually shocked by it. This isn't the player I remember.

I wanted the Penguins to trade this guy the minute he said he wasn't happy with his role after last years loss to the Caps. I don't believe the Penguins should be sitting on their hands "waiting" on a player.

No worries even if you were.

I see a lot of speed and skill plus good defensive tendencies away from the puck. He's also great on the draws. I keep in mind that he had some time away both last year and this year that kinda screwed with him getting in the groove. He was starting to take off last year when he got injured. Had like a 6 or 7 game point streak going when he went down I think. I keep in mind he's had a swinging door of wingers and no one has really been static to him. I dont forget how good he looked filling in at 2C when Sid was out. I look at the Pens record and goal differentials when all 3 big C's are in lineup. I keep in mind his huge sample size of like 10+ seasons of being good to great and I remember that his cap hit is only 3M on a team that's tight against it.

These are the reasons.

I do like Simon. I think he’s played well on the first line with Sid but I’d like to give Sheahan some scoring punch in the 4th line. And I think Horny is best served in Sids line.

Personally, I’d rather ZAR move down to the 4th. I know that takes away from giving the 4th scoring punch and maybe I’m wrong, but I think ZAR drags people down.

One thing that’s really going to affect this roster is Cullen. If the Pens are hell-bent on dressing him every game it’s going to limit spots.

Not looking forward to his return.

He needs to be Kerrigan'd.

In the nicest way possible.
