Well the good news is they should be done in free agency with the forwards
- VANTEL
Let's pick up some 33 year old D now. Picks, money, term. No problemo. |

I hope they get out from under all these D except Gudbrandson. I agree with Makita that he is the only one to engage . I am tired of Edler and Tanev as the top guys . I know Stecher is signed for one more year so I will include him in the D also. |

Yeah it is fun to dream but sticking to the process is what we should do. Canucks best players have come through the draft so far. - VANTEL
I would rather pay EP 8m than Skinner |

Backing up opinions = pulling out useless stats
Having a difference of opinion = arguing
Writing your hockey opinion on a hockey site = being an armchair GM.
Lol makita im not really sure what you expect every time you come on here but i dont think what you see is ever going to change. - Codes1087
Probably not, but if group mentality is to state unequivocally that this guy is crap because subjective stats say so, or someone’s opinion is righteous and if someone disagrees that means they’re arguing against said righteous opinions. And everyone continually disparages Benning and posts opinions that this is what should or has to be done, and I personally don’t agree, should I just give the thumbs up emoji, or is it ok to say no I don’t agree.
Question Codes, why do I need to be assimilated into the way the majority think? Why shouldn’t I have a rebuttal to statements that are someone’s personal opinions that are posted for conversation? Everyone posts conjecture but my opinions are not relevant because I’m a ref? |

I know it is the right thing to keep on drafting. The truth is we are probably about 4 years away from being a good team. Like I said before it is fun to dream.
I think Benning pulled out a really good trade last week and I hope we see more of that.

Evan McEneny
42 points in his last 100 ahl games, he has 103 in total.
Zack MacEwan
54 points in his 93 games in ahl.
I would think both have earned their chance. Both play all situations. - Reubenkincade
Evan can’t skate. He will never play for the canucks |

I see Beagle as useful but I understand people not liking the signings. I think once we start getting some scoring from the back end it will push some of the numbers up on the forwards. It has been a problem for years and years. - VANTEL
If they deployed Beagle and Sutter with whoever as the third line, the Molhotra spot, I can see them getting good value. Instead of each guy for 12 minutes let’s have both guys for 16. |

It would be a very good shut down line. It would also let Gaudette continue on |

So because you like him and see these things you claim you are right, but someone who has the opposite opinion is wrong because they see the opposite of what you see they are wrong. That’s a real enlightened philosophy, you’re a good poster - 1970vintage
I reread my post, not sure where the conclusion of wrong came from, you posted you don’t like Gudbranson, I posted I did, where is the wrong in there? |

You said earlier that it is tough to watch 12 of 14 losses, but this is what I expected, so I have actually been pleasantly surprised, and even enjoyed watching the games I have. Petey is going to be a beauty. Horvat is certainly better than the consensus at the draft, Boeser May never be a super star, but that wrist shot will keep him afloat a long time in the NHL. Hughes looks to be dynamic. If they can find a few more of these kids to make a meaningful contribution in the next 3+ years I agree, this will be a pretty good team. |

I like Gaudette getting the Kessler treatment. Would like to see him on the PK a bit, plus sheltered 4th line minutes this season. I believe is is mature enough to benefit more from NHL experience than from “playing big minutes” in the AHL. |
