Two games for hyman.. didn’t think he’d get any really but whatever. I can see the reasoning

If he gets any games at all, it'll be bullpoop.

Late, blindside hit to a young talented player coming back from a concussion.

Must be hitting the bottle hard again.

He got 2 games so you're wrong again.

I'd tell you to get (frank)ed, but I wouldn't wish something as great as sex on you.

And no. I'm still right. It's exactly like I said. Him getting suspended is bullpoop. The precedence had already been set when players who did the exact same hit, but worse, and who have a track record, got nothing.

I know you're accustomed to playing under power lines, but do us all a favour and go play in traffic instead.

I’m sure guys like Wilson will be slowing up on Marner if they get a chance to hit him knowing Marchment is playing 7 minutes on the leafs 4th line. You have to be skilled to be anywhere in an NHL line up, I’d be surprised if this guy would be able to keep up at all. I don’t mind moving on from Brown, he’s going to be too expensive as a fourth line guy anyway.
- ClarksonDavid

Dude.. you are complete missing the point, or willfully ignore all the context of this debate.

1. Leafs need to get tougher..
2. But without sacrificing a lot of speed and skill
3. Not a goon, so won’t be doing goon stuff like fighting Wilson.
4. Toughness throughout the line-up not just “call-up Marchment”
5. Add another piece and subtracting a weak piece, ie Brown + for Bennett.

You guys disapppoint me with the lack of outrage and demanding something be done about them getting pushed around.

Hyman hit was suspension worthy. It was dumb and dangerous. The fact we saw 2-3 other hits (some from guys with a history) this week and there was nothing done about them just shows how clueless the league is.

Nope!

Can’t have that!

We gotta let Matthews and Marner get run and hopefully we can get a power play!

We can’t have teammates sticking up for each other vigilante-style, we might end up taking a penalty!!

- Arctic_AARDVARK

No one is going to change how they play based on who is sitting on the other teams bench at the time of the hit. If you think Kronwall doesn't make that hit on Matthews or Trouba on Matthews because Matt Martin or Sam Bennet is sitting on the bench you are delusional.

How does this have any bearing on the situation AT (frank)ING ALL??

The DOPS just pulled a hard 180 on precedent in the span of what... 2 weeks?

Blindside because he's watching his pass... poop they told you not to do in your first year of hockey. And the hit was less than half a second late, 2 games is a joke. Wasnt a high hit, led with the shoulder. Was a textbook shoulder to shoulder hit that was slightly late on a guy not paying attention like a (frank)ing idiot.

Because it's the league's job to protect the players. The guy just came back from a concussion, the Bruins were leading by a wide margin and Hyman took a cheap shot on him. That's a suspension.

Late hit, cheap shot.

Watching his pass? What's he suppose to do there? Make a pass then check his blind side, psychically knowing that Hyman is coming to hit him late?

Who cares if he just got back, he's playing it isn't up to other players to pay attention to that. He's on the ice he can get hit, if he needs to be protected he can stop watching his pass or get the (frank) off the ice and wait to come back

I don't have an issue suspending hyman for what he did, he deserved something.

But they didn't suspend a player who has a substantial history of headshot and predatory hits who has just come off a 20 game suspension for a worse hit. And then he himself gets hit by a predatory hit and that guy gets nothing.

That is (frank)ing dumb

Seriously man..

I don’t understand why all of the sudden so many of you’s forget the fundamentals of the game. If the leafs had toughness throughout the lineup, the guy wouldn’t be sitting on the bench now would he? Nooo, he wouldn’t.

I’ve said (for the 1 millionth time today) that they shouldn’t get a goon. Just guys throughout the lineup who’ll stand up for teammates.

Reaves hit was fine. Hit him in the shoulder. Wilson was skating forward after he touched the puck and wasn't looking in front of him either. He just got caught by another big guy.

Suspended for finishing a check less then 1 second after he had the puck

Meh, Matt Martin finishes most of his checks long after .9 secs

Garbage IMO but we’ll get a chance to check out some new lines or player maybe.

Not (frank)ing true at all. Hyman was one stride away when the pass got off. It was a blindside hit only because the idiot admired the pass. The guy who hit Reilly was way worse. Charged, blindsided and Predatory. I don't say much on here but im really starting to see the light. You are what people say. A (frank)ing Bruins fan.

Because they're trying to protect the players, trying to prevent concussions. Him coming back from a concussion and Hyman hitting him late and hard like that in a game they were losing showed predatory behavior. That's exactly why they gave him 2 games.

All wrong.

Hyman was late and came from the blind side. Rielly was hit from the front. Completely different scenarios.

Blindsides literally aren't in the rulebook anymore. They took them out because people would be watching their pass. It's their job to pay attention, how hard is it to see someone forechecking on you there? Literally less than a second after you pass the puck. Of course you are advocating for your favourite team though.

Like (frank) I only played Jr C hockey and I know enough to not watch my (frank)ing pass like people do in the NHL. poop gets taught to you when you first start hitting........

Watch it again, its 0.9 seconds after he releases the puck. But nah you're right because you said so without proving it

Nope. More than a second, clearly a late hit, blind side, to the head; clearly a suspension.
