No color TV, where were you in 86 and 93? There were more than 5 teams in the league then. Until you get your facts straight don't post here

Sad state of affairs when your team is considered to be a surprise and still is amongst the worst teams in the league.

Did you watch the Flyers game?

Really?

Apparently you didn't see any Sabres games last year, not that I blame you, but they are much, much better.

Tampa also got beat by the Coyotes 7-1. Any team can get killed on any night.

Lol, who were the key members of the team that won in 2004, couple of Quebec boys, without them there will be no cup

Didn't realize Conn Smythe winner, Brad Richards, was a Quebec boy.

It wasn't disallowed... it straight up went in and nobody called it. Calgary would lose that Game 6 in OT if memory serves me correctly, then lost Game 7 in regulation?

The TV guys replayed it, and it was in, but in 04 they didn't do what they do now, which is "As long as no further call (Goal or penalty) is called, reset the clock and count the goal"

Also, this was before the capability of streaming everything, I was away camping that weekend and was listening on the radio. Didn't get to see it until I watched some TV highlights, because YouTube wasn't that huge yet either...

Crazy how far we've come in 14 years.

Had that happened today, Calgary would be Stanley Cup champions

I honestly don't think even if they replayed it it would have been a goal. Not enough evidence. I watched it over and over.

Calgary made it to the Finals thanks to clutching, grabbing holding, and tackling. Had that happened today...they would be on the PK for 30 minutes per night and would lose to a skill team in the first round.

You mean when Gelina scored the cup winning goal for the Flames and it was disallowed by Betman's refs? Good times.

Still not completely sold on the Sabres, and this is coming from a diehard Sabres fan. Lots of one goal games, secondary scoring is almost nonexistent, and yesterday's loss to the Flyers was just brutal. During the 10 game win streak I was so sure they were playoff bound but this 5 game skid has REALLY shaken my confidence. Mostly I'm trying to temper my expectation and not get too excited for the postseason only to set myself up for disappointment but we'll see what happens.

Avg to poor? Guess you haven’t watched a single game.

The guy has to make 2/3 ten bell saves every game just to keep his gaa under 4. Def isn’t good and he has to fend for himself back there
