Kessel for Reaves
- Feds91Stammer

Yo... bumhole... I already made that suggestion in my 4 point plan for JR's success yesterday.

I even gave you a shoutout in it

So back on not being serious but possibly being half serious on half assed trade ideas by me (and yes, I'll finally trade Maatta).

Maatta for mid 6 winger
Johnson for anything that will let us relieve us of his poop and cap.
Brassard for a bottom 4 Dman (don't think you can get a guaranteed mid pairing unless a rental for rental).
Kessel for Reeves (JR special of (frank)ing up a good trading streak).

And nope, I have no one specific in mind, because I don't care enough about trades until 2 weeks before the deadline.

edit: Before you ask, no Stammers... no Maatta for Frk... dude so ugly he makes Geno look average.

Then package Reaves and Brassard for McDavid
- Feds91Stammer

I think the pens would be paying too much. Reaves and a 1st should be enough for McDavid, and maybe a 3rd thrown in.

No way I move Reeves for McDavid. We'd be soff again. Brassard and a second get it done and the Pens finally have their 3rd line center.

So who we trading malkin to? Oh wait we won last night. He's safe for now.

I think Toronto needs another center.

Giordano suspended for two games. I'm losing two games from him this week, but I guess at least I got two big games from him.

Sometimes Geno plays best with lesser wingers. Takes the puck to the net himself. Would like to see Kessel with sid more and plug in whoever with Malkin until hornqvist is back

I think chemistry for the penguins is the most important thing. The perceived "rating" of a player was alsways secondary to how well they meshed with Sid or Geno

Geno's 4 best seasons in the NHL had Petr Sykora, James Neal, and Phil Kessel on his wings. Not really sure where you're getting that lesser wingers = better Geno narrative, but it's pretty wrong. Like.. really, really wrong.

Those are also the only seasons he played 70+ games and almost half those points came on the power play

Also those were career years for all three players.

Also his 4 highest PPG seasons in his career.

Also 4 of his 5 highest 5v5 p/60 seasons as well.

His other highest 5v5 p/60, his most common linemate? You guessed it, Phil Kessel in 2016-17.

Still not really sure where the lesser winger thing comes in here.

His best year came with fedotenko and an ancient sykora on his line 21% of the time. Not really an all star cast

46 points is still top 6 production for a RW, maybe even first line production for the time being, I'd have to dive a little deeper. Whether he was "ancient" or not, he was still a top 6 forward and a skilled one at that.

Also, of Fedetenko's 39 points, 34 of them were at even strength, that is easily top 6 5v5 production, so I wouldn't consider that a "lesser" player either, because it's still in line with his career average.

Sykora was press boxed for Satan in the playoffs. I’d say his days were behind him

Wouldn’t consider him a lesser player because Malkin elevated him. Speaks more for Malkin than it does fedo

If that were the case, he wouldn't have went on to score 44 points for New Jersey 3 years later at the age of 35, but okay lets make judgment on a 7 game sample size in the playoffs.
