Anaheim rightly challenges it and it's still called a goal? Ridiculous.
- GreatGigInTheSky

That's entirely on Lindholm. He took out his feet. Bishop had no ability to avoid any contact there.

yeah.. Hitch is trying to coach some more young guys up.. Puljujarvi might end up being a significant piece. Yamamoto too perhaps?
- Arctic_AARDVARK

Naw Hitch's game plan is to play McDavid 30 minutes a game and then just hope for the best the rest of the way.

Wait. Wasn't that Pat Burns' plan with Gilmour?

Do you stay down when you go to Detroit? Go out at night? Any good restaurants nearby?

I usually just drive thru Detroit, never actually do anything there.

For sure Hockey Town. Chelis was good but recently closed. Harbor House. And Detroit beer company. It’s got a bad rap but downtown Detroit ain’t all that bad. Hell I feel more likely to be shot or stabbed in Windsor these days.

Nope. It was Babcock's game plan with Leo Komarov

He still purposely extended his leg knocking the goalie into the net. Obvious goalie interference.

Meh. We see that one differently, I guess. I will take the goalie's side 80% of the time. I hate how the NHL screws goalies over in favour of goals. In this case, I felt Bishop was driving the net, but Lindholm took him down forcing him into the goalie and the net. Once Lindholm takes him down, all bets are off - because you never know if he would have intended to try and avoid the goalie or not.

I agree but Lindholm took him down too. Still thought it was going to get waived off when you can see him push the goalie in the net and out of the way.

Ducks need some help up front totally.

So Leafs need a bit more physical presence. Marchment being called up for 4th line might provide a bit from in house.

Remember the Kapanan and 1st(Eventual Liljegren pick) trade proposals that everyone said was ok to send out to get a top 4 D like Tanev?

I do. Sometimes management knows what they are doing

Bishop falls towards the post and he extends his leg to the middle of the net where the goalie is. Intentionally. You can see where he pushes his leg forward. He knew exactly what he was doing and the refs made a terrible call.

But goalie interference in this league is a joke. It has to be taken out of the hands of the on ice officials. There's too many of them with different opinions of what is and isn't goalie interference. Same with offside calls. The tablet is too damn small for them to make calls.

The last game against Detroit was crazy in the 3rd period. The leafs are never really out of games even if they have a couple crappy periods. When they were rolling over those 3 lines in the 3rd it was nuts.

If the Leafs could consistently play like they did in that 3rd period they'd be unstoppable. That third period they looked absolutely terrifying.

They seem to get outworked a lot and only turn on the jets when they're trailing (which they haven't been much this season).

Philly's goaltending is arguably the worst in the league.
