Didn't Crawford already block trades to teams or only gave a list of teams that didn't need goalies?
Even if we stink out loud, I don't see that changing. He's got a gf and a baby that are set-up nicely in Chicago. I wonder about how soon until he retires, if this contract will be his last since the previous scare a season ago. - I Am The Breadman
Calgary is one that he denied to go to other than that don't know. |

In Sveden's top pro league they have relegation. Colliton took over a club that was relegated and coached them back into the top league, then got the Hogs to the Conference Finals: https://www.secondcityhoc...n-reactions-breaking-news - Mr Ricochet
I know that ... what I am saying is that the team that he coached while in relegation did not make it back in right away... and 1 season of AHL, I'm just saying I don't think the guy is qualified (but I am also aware that I have written that a few times...). I guess this is more along the lines of why I think that - but sure, who cares? At the end of the day (or season) -that will either be correct, or wrong...

You are dead on. With a team that has veterans who have won 3 Cups, Olympics, World Championships, Conn Smythes, an Art Ross, a Hart the Hawks hire a coach who has never coached a single game in the NHL, not even as an Assistant. One year in the AHL. No years in the top Swedish League. All 4 years as a second tier Swedish coach. Three terrible years and then one final better year. Obvious recipe for disaster.
There is no possible way the team did not say “Who is this guy?” Does he show anything? No! No inspiration with respect to lines, pairings. The PP is a joke. The D-Zone coverage is a joke. His big inspiration - Gus and Kampf are phenomenal. Yikes! |

Best way forward for the Blackhawks is they have/get the next Hossa. It would be awesome if this was a package that came in one player. Likely, reality suggests it will end up being more than one, ie, a guy who is really great on the backcheck and another guy who is superlative at board work and can maintain possession off the wall into a quality offensive chance.
Moving current high dollar 'Hawks is incumbent on the other team having the cap space to absorb the contract. This likely means contracts will be coming back. Therefore, I'm ok with the core guys staying if they can play a key role in being elder skatesmen on a future competitive team. Reality also states there is likely but a small chance of a possible trade along the lines of the Cowboys trading Herschel Walker can be consummated, given the NHL's hard cap. |

Thanks, Cal does sound familiar.
I don't see him moving though. |

Just a lot of smoke in the public and heard a couple things about the Hawks maybe turning the corner of being honest with themselves finally. - Justin Lowe
Stan: Hey John, we like our team, right?
John: We are one of the worse teams in the league, but man those Kane jerseys do sell really well!
Stan: I don't know, think we should bring back Shaw or trade dcat? Could be the difference in turning this around.
John: Did you see that press conference, man I looked good.
Stan: I think I need to call my daddy. |

At this point I would say all NMC are YPMMC
“Yes Please Move Me Clauses”
Crawford’s glove hand looks heavy and slow - like a Catcher trying to play second base.
Not sure his value is as high as many think.
Jonathan Quick is on the market this trade deadline too.
Doubt Seabs- Keith- Anisimov - and others want to be here beyond the Trade Deadline and I doubt they will be.
I see Q in Seattle with Dave Tibbet |

I think if CC gets moved, Delia comes up to back up Ward. Speaking of trades, BR now chirping that this is the time to get the wheels turning on trading 2 and 7. I can see DK landing in Toronto as they prepare for a run. |

Hahaha, I think they are injured and they got a dog skid of a coach.
I like your new picture by the way. |

Sad times ... I totally understand that moving beyond and further are what we need, but still sad. The sweetners required to make Seabs contract tolerable will rot your mouth. |

Sounds great on paper. Ask the Wings how finding the next Lidstrom is going. |

As bad as Seabs’ deal is, they don’t actually have to move him and shouldn’t be throwing in picks, prospects, Dinky, whatever to make it palatable. |

Either multi-cup winning goalies (Quick/Crow) should fetch a standard late 1st plus prospect at the deadline.
Quick might be harder to move considering his contract is longer where as Crow is simply this season and next.
I wouldn't be opposed to eating half of Crows salary to get more in return.
LA's cap problem is also worse than ours, so we have the flexibility to take a dead-weight expiring contract back for an extra 2nd
*Edit*
I'm thinking the Tampa bay trade for McDonagh is a good comparable, but Crow will bring less in value than McDonagh/Miller
Or maybe Crow/Anisimov or depth defenseman for picks/prospects/cap dump |

I'm not advocating or believe they have to trade him (now) ... I was just trying to make a joke/bad pun. |

After Evan Barratt's (CHI) 4-point effort against Notre Dame in Penn State's 9-1 rout, his national scoring lead is up to 29 points. Barratt is averaging 1.71 pts/gm through 17 GP. Only 8 U20 players have averaged 1.5 pts/gm or better since 1998-99 in NCAA. |

He is Hawks property, but does not have a contract yet it appears. Lets get him inked. Kid looks good and is a C. |

FWIW he is slated as a LW for the Team USA WJC prelim roster. 1st line LW at that, too. |
