Just one fan's perspective so take it FWIW:
1) From what I can recall, Delia has gotten in slightly more games once Forsberg joined the Hogs. Both seem to be performing at the same clip. Generally solid with some things to work on as well. Don't think at this point neither is head over heels better than the other. That can be a good thing given that neither are stinkers either.
2) First D-man call up: Dahlstrom out of seniority and experience level. Then possibly Carlsson or Hillman. All 3 are defense-first but able puck carriers, just not on the same level as offensively gifted blueliners like Forsling and Gustafsson. But again, that's a good thing since the Hawks sorely need defensive defensemen to balance the back end.
3) First forward call up: Dylan Sikura given that he is the best forward they have and could help with solidifying a 3rd line. Highmore would have been a strong candidate but he's injured. Wouldn't mind sending down Fortin and Hayden to see how Knott and Tyler Sikura would fare. - AEL_Fox
Thanks, AEL. I sure hope you are right, especially on the first one. |

American kid that doesn't want to be in the middle of no where apparently. He supposedly wants to play on an eastern time zone preferably in the USA - GPHawksfan
Thanks!
I'd think the Wings would pull out the stops to get him and bring him back to Michigan. |

Why isnt JC tsken to task for 13 line combos in 15 games.
If people moaned and whined that Q would change things up if/when things didnt work and had a blender, where is the outrage over this vegematic? I thought the line juggling was a bad thing...now ok? |

He's on a really nice contract too. I feel like he's a guy who has always gone under the radar in the NHL, but he pretty consistently puts up 20 goals. As a Sabres fan, he would be a perfect stop-gap 2C until Mittelstadt puts on his big boy muscles - jcragcrumple
Shhh...don't tell people here that. AA's horrible and so is the contract. |

Buffalo Fans were told to prepare for Suffering by our GM at the time Darcy Regier. Man was he right!! It was the worst hockey I have witnessed in my 40 years of watching the Sabres. At least you have won the Cup a few times and you can fall back on that. As a Sabres fan I would give me left nad to win a cup, give me one win and I would gladly rebuild for another 10 years.... - hehateme
Shhh... don't peddle this nonsense here either. |

Calling for a guy to be banned - and then delivering this response - is like throwing a punch after a referee has the other guy wrapped up. If you want the rules enforced you should play by them too.

How is he wrong though? JC isn't ready to be an NHL coach and it shows. They should have left him in the AHL to DEVELOP the players there and get some more experience instead of feeding him to the wolves on this poop pile team. - GPHawksfan
Because (1) he claims to know more about line matchups than a paid professional - based on what - that he comments on a hockey message board? and (2) he implies he has some power to do more than a guy on a message board which is to sit back and do nothing other than make comments on the message board.
Colliton has been dealt (inherited) a losing hand. 15 games into his NHL coaching career is a little quick to determine some guy on a message board knows better on what to do than he does - don't ya think?
I'm not suggesting Colliton is or is not a good hockey coach - I don't have enough information to make that judgement call yet. I'm simply pointing out the ridiculous hubris of message board jockeys to think they know more than they really do.

Maybe instead of line juggling, JC should learn about line matchups...where he has zero clue on how to put his best players in a position to succeed.
Maybe I should just sit back though and let JC develop in this new developmental league the NHL has now become - PatShart
It's hard to make chicken salad out of chicken poop. I believe like Q he's trying to find the best line combinations. Trying to find some sort of chemistry. Im sure he went in with the mind set, Let's develop these players but I believe it's gotten to a point he's desperately trying to get his team a win.
At this point i would consider moving Kruger and Kampf to defenseman, i believe they would outperform, Raanta, Seabrook, Gusto, Manning, holy poop our defense is bad
|
|
|
|
Hell if i was the Hawks coach I'd say (frank) it, play 4 forwards and 1 defenseman, might as well since 2/3 of our dman are useless |
