The bigger problem is after that Laughton gives a guy one cross check and he gets called. NHL officiating at its finest.
- MJL

Laughton actually punched that guy after that crosscheck. They did not show it on the replay. He was called for roughing.

So true with this team a little more help from forwards like Jake, JvR, Simmonds would probably go a long way to solving some of the issues with D and Goalies.
- dragonoffrost

Well everyone knows how I feel about Voracek.

I would do Voracek for Stone straight up. I think the Flyers could use another all around forward type like Stone.

I believe Fletcher said he will look at in house options first. He will probably use this upcoming road trip to evaluate. I'd expect to see some changes to the roster when they return home on December 18.

I didn't see that. All the replay I saw showed was the cross check. If he did that then I stand corrected.

Cross checked him in the back, then sucker punched him in the jaw.

That was the vibe I got also. My worry as someone pointed out earlier is do they send down Lindblom rather than using him in a higher ES role. I mean he's on PP2 not may PP players are on the fourth line. I'd prefer if the moves are Weal and Lehtera even though Jori isn't killing this roster.

first goal aside (I was at the game and from my seat i thought it hit AMac's stick but even so one Stolarz wants back I am sure) I though Stolaz played really well. Kept them in the game .

Amac has just been bad this season. Honestly, Folin has outplayed him.

I'm getting so sick of Lindblom being buried. He and Patrick really looked good together and after a few off games the kid has been buried on the 4th line. Patrick hasn't looked good with anyone. why not put them back together and see if they can get each other going.

Can Sanheim get more playing time already? sheltered minutes, blah blah blah. I don't care, give the kid more ice time.

the PK has been good over the last 3-4 games. the PP has been putrid. what in the world has happened to the PP

outside of 28-14-11, I hate the lines. HATE. I'm starting to feel like the chemistry on the team is just not there. where does JVR fit? Who does Simmonds play well with?

With the schedule they either do the moves today or when the trip ends unless injuries occur. Teams don't like to move rosters during long road trips.

I wasn’t saying Patrick is a bust, I’m saying RIGHT NOW he’s not the best option as second line center.

I don’t know what he’ll become but right now he’s clearly not ready to pivot that second line. Just my opinion.

- DraftandDestroy

He played his best hockey with Lindblom and Voracek. so like, maybe put them back together.

Stolie definitely wanted that first one back. Loved seeing G go over and give him a little pep talk before that next faceoff.

Has Raffl shown anything since coming back that should keep him in the lineup? I liked what I saw from Aube-Kubel in the limited time he got and would like to see more minutes for him if recalled.

Figuring out the Simmonds situation could go a long way as you could get back a roster player to help your team now and change the dynamic a little.

I think the season is over now. You don't want to see Fletcher make any shortsighted moves with the thought of salvaging this season in mind. I think he's smarter than that. Don't want to see prospects or picks traded for veteran rentals. We've been down that road before and know the results.

It you don't stop trying to micromanage the coach, I'm going to have to ask you to leave. Thanks.

been my point, those 3 are the same player in a lot of ways, they don't gel

I don't understand retaining Hakstol. If Quenneville doesn't want to come here, make Gordon the interim and start fresh next year with a new coach.

I'd keep Raffl around as an extra (popcorn) guy.

G-Coots-TK
Lindblom-Patrick-Jake
JvR-(center call up from Lehigh)-Simmonds/Weise
(wing call up from Lehigh)-Laughts-Simmonds/Weise

I'm just not seeing enough from Simmer right now that I'd be fine giving him a game or two on line 4.

I don't get how we're complaining about a 20 year Patrick and whining that the front office is going to sell off prospects. Can't have it both ways. Kids need time to develop.

If you think every 2nd overall pick is supposed to come into the league on fire you're delusional.

Let Fletcher bring in his guys. Gordon isn't special. If you promote him who's coaching Lehigh until he's back there after new guy comes in. It's all on how much they want to spend on coaches.

Let’s hope all that talk about pushing for the playoffs this season is just corporate speak.

The correct move is to let this tire fire burn for a bit. Salvage the correct pieces from the ashes and make smart moves at the deadline. Then it’s a race to the bottom for Hughes.

There isn’t a goalie available right now that is significantly better than what is in house that wouldn’t cost key assets. Same with forwards and defenseman for that matter.
