1) Had no say in his coaching staff

2) Hextall was micromanaging his lineups

3) He is in the final year of his contract and there arent any better options available at the moment. If Q was available, he'd be signed by now. Clearly he has no intention of signing anywhere this year

Because several coaches have been fired. You really think no one has inquired to the best available coach? That is like saying no one went after the best FA during Free Agency period.

Still an assumption. Teams would have to get into a top dollar long term deal for someone like Quenneville. That's something that is more likely to occur in the off season.
