He definitely struggled at first and 2 games he got shelled including the 8 goal one they left him out to try on make that look worse than hes played. Over his last 3 or 4 weeks he's gained a lot more consistency and is excelling. Just has to stay that way. I think over his last 5 or 6 games hes got something like a .936 save percentage which is even more impressive in the wide open ahl.

Kid's gonna be a stud. No reason to rush him though, let him have the full season and playoffs with the Phantoms. His time will come soon enough.

1) Had no say in his coaching staff

2) Hextall was micromanaging his lineups

3) He is in the final year of his contract and there arent any better options available at the moment. If Q was available, he'd be signed by now. Clearly he has no intention of signing anywhere this year

Idk burying a kid for the sake of burying him doesnt make sense either. If he goes into a consistency where month after month hes posting .930+ save percentage I think he gets a look. Thats extremely difficult to do in the A. Unless stoly and elliot sure up our net with a .905-.910 percentage. Time will tell. I dont think theres a perfect plan for any of the kids. That was hextall problem imo he had this plan in his head on where they would be.
