I'd love Trouba. But right now where the Flyers stand there is no reason to make that deal as you presented.

I would do something like Voracek for Trouba type deal. Some package based around those two.

Everyone knows the Flyers are in on E.Kane and Buffy in terms of trades

I understand but we can’t fit Voracek under our cap. We have to re sign Laine and Connor this summer. If Trouba is traded it will be for young guys who are cost co trolled but ready to play in nhl.

Jordan Weal is NHL ready and cost-effective. We'll have his bags packed and waiting for you on the tarmac at PHL. Just leave Trouba at baggage claim. Thanks. Happy Holidays!

yeah he didnt give to much detail but he used Ghost an example and how he rushed the puck last night. he left out the details that would have let me understand why.
- wcorvette

Did he use Gostisbehere and the points he racked up last season and the 56% GF percentage for the team when he was on the ice, playing in the same system?

I’ve come to realize we will be forced to trade Trouba and I’d look for a trade that has high risk, high reward. The trades of Seth Jones for Ryan Johansen are few and far between
- Ross77

If you truly feel that Trouba is the player you think he is, you don't trade him for the players you think the Flyers are in the deal.

didnt they say Nash too? Despite the talk of winning now as well as the future i believe Hextall wasn't all that too concerned with the now as much as the future. just my opinion.
- nastyflyergirl

Riley Nash? Did he impress you last night. He played 9 minutes and last time I looked he had 2 assists on the season. For the record, I wanted the Flyers to go after him.

Yeah.

I would try to find a way to keep Trouba. Myers is a UFA. Maybe try to move Little or Pearrualt to create some space.

Depends.... Are there any rebates, Cashback rewards, Air Miles or just any type of point rewards system if we make this purchase?

What I'd do: Evaluate Stolarz for another 7-10 games -- yeah, it's a small sample size, but you're gonna have to project if he can honestly hold down a roster spot. If he does enough, don't trade for a goalie. Ride it out with Elliott and Stolarz. If he gets torched, then you have to decide about trying to insert Neuvirth

Trade Simmonds and a pick for a center to take the burden off of Patrick to score -- he's only 20 years old. It takes time

Waive Lehtera and bring up a Phantom or two -- you have to start seeing what you have that might be able to help you in defined roles

What they will do: No clue

I was wondering that as well. I don't like the hextall firing but I like the move to bring in Wilson.

I still noticed that provy seemed to struggle. Just seems unsure of himself

It'll take a while for him to find his way back if the coach was part of the problem. But we know what he is, I'll take the first two years over year three. He's having his sophomore slump a year late.

Few thoughts on last night and stuff a Rick Wilson can’t fix.

-More Sanheim! Travis Sanheim looks like what Ghost was during his rookie season. Hungry! Travis Sanheim looks like he could be the Brent Seabrooke to a Duncan Keith or a Ryan Sutter to a Shea Weber. Sanheim has been solid defensively next to Gudas, aside from a couple mistakes every other game but for the most part, I feel like he’s been held back. I don’t think anyone challenged him last night. I think he challenged himself. I think it’s ridiculous he’s not a main stay in the PP, and I think the smartest thing Hal could do is to have two defensemen on the ice if/when a penalty expires.

-I think relying on the top line (most notably G and Coots), will continue to hurt the rest of the line up, which is clearly flawed. I think it’s an easy match up game for other teams.

-As I pointed out, Lindblom on the fourth line. What’s the point? How is this situation going to make Oskar Lindblom better as a player moving forward?

-I think we saw how good Simmonds really is last night. The Simmonds, JvR and Patrick line in my opinion was a lazy idea from the start and a bad mix. So the moment JvR is replaced with Voracek, instant jump! Instant chemistry. Better mix. I have no idea if Hak will role with it but it begs the question as to how he didn’t think of it sooner.

-I do like that Simmonds was put back on the top PP unit in the second half of the game. Good move. I do wonder if JVR replacing Coots ever crossed his mind.

I thought Simmonds played well last night and was very noticeable with scoring opportunities.

Thinking that Folin comes back off the shelf soon so Wilson can see him in game action too.
