You guys may not miss him - but Sprong was a breath of fresh air. His speed and shot really jump out on Ducks. He had a center lane drive last night with a tip shot that Craw made a sick pad save on that was just was so good to see as a Ducks fan.
Also he was in offensive zone skated all the way back to Ducks zone wound it up through center ice and singlehandedly generated a scoring chance. God have we missed a guy like this.
Maybe it doesn't last, but for one night it was sweet to have a guy that can smoke shots and is a pure goal scorer.
Whatever he did to Sully I don't know but I love we got him. |

Tentative lineup for next week:
LW: M.Tkachuk, Dubois (both with 3 games), Ferland and Skinner
C: Eichel, Sid, Jake and Scheifele
RW: Kessel, Wheeler, Laine and Aho
D: Dahlin, Jokihairu, Trouba and Letang with four games, Giordano and Chabot (3 games)
G: Andersen and Hutton
Ferland might get swapped out if he's not back by the weekend. I just don't don't want to load up too much on two teams. |

It honestly hurts. I really believed in Sprong to becoming a very solid top-nine winger.

I had him in, but then I'd way have too many players on only two teams: WPG and PIT. |

I'm up in Canada the last few days, and a few of my coworkers were talking that a few radio stations were talking about Winnipeg Jets having some interest in Brassard. The radio station discussed Pens have been scouting Winnipeg with multiple scouts. Players they felt were were interested in/scouting: Perreault, Little, Myers, Lowry, and Petan. They didn't say too many details or speculate on if they would package players for him or do a one for one. Just that there are players the Penguins could be scouting and that they may be looking for a center to replace what Stastny brought to the team and feel Brassard could be that center (especially for the playoffs). - 123Kid
Many disagree with me, but I would be interested in Myers as one of the pieces. Lowry as well. Really, I’d like to get Anisimov but I don’t think Chicago is keen on moving him. Maybe. I think if we got Anisimov and Brassard goes to Dallas or Winnipeg then I think there’s a 3-way trade to be had |

Out of nowhere, probably crazy idea, what about a Kessel for Anders Lee deal?
Lee seems to be more of what Sully would want. He had a ridiculous year last year with 40 goals but hes obviously no where near the playmaker that Phil is. He is only a few years younger and is a UFA. Barzal is great but I think the Isles need more of a marketable star after Tavaras left.
Only makes sense for the Pens if they are certain they can extend him. |

I can’t envision Kessel getting moved within the division.

Makes no sense at all.
Phil has his NTC and Lee is a downgrade. |

Kessel deal I could see making some sense:
Kessel is willing to go to MIN in this scenario
Kessel + Brassard
for
Staal + Granlund
add a piece here or there to make it even |
|
|
|
I'm just going to jokingly throw out Kessel for E Kane, again. |
