the hit on Wilson: Looked like he took a peak and saw Reaves coming but the hit was definitely late. Maybe Wilson let up because, while he saw Reaves coming, the puck was well gone so maybe he didn't expect to get hit. All in all, bleep Wilson |

Meh, its a small sample size. Riittich was another guy that looked great and he dropped back down to earth. Got lit up last night. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Same can be said with Raanta and Kuemper. Just to prove that sometimes goaltenders look better or even worse depending on who they play on.
Bob has won 2 Vezina trophies, there is no doubt in my mind that he would of never of done that on the Flyers if he was never traded. |

Surprised me, too. Thought he was close to a lock, as a matter of fact. - bmeltzer
I figured he was a lock too, considering he was on the team for the world junior showcase over the summer and since he's playing fairly well in the SHL |

I think the Wilson hire is a great move. He’s a great D coach and known for his PK coaching too. Definitely a step in the right direction - BiggE
This why I question the hire...
I don’t know if this is strictly a Fletcher hire or a guy Hakstol wanted. So let’s say Hakstol gets fired. He has a miserable stretch under Fletcher’s watchful eye. The next guy also doesn’t get to hire doesn’t bring in his guys. His staff. How can a GM hire Wilson and let him go if a guy like Quenneville didn’t ask for him to begin with?
I’m assuming Fletcher was paying close attention to the Flyers the moment he was interviewed. |

Theres not really a lot out there. I've always coveted raanta. Yesterday people suggested quick which I want zero part of. I think the kinfs would love to be rid of the contract with his injuries and they have Peterson in waiting. |

I think Wilson is a stop gap. Not somebody who is being forced onto the team or a new coach. From hasktol mouth himself he requested Wilson. Fletcher was okay with it cause of his own familiarity. But Wilson is old been in this game a long time. I dont see him coaching 5 more years regardless of who is coach. I think this is a 1 year favor to hasktol and fletcher to help steady the team. |

I disagree Bob played well here. Only reason he was traded was because they wanted Bryz to be the clear cut #1 |

Raanta is a lateral move. Get rid of an injury prone goalie for another injury prone goalie |

It is pretty close to the same hit that Wilson landed against the Devils the other night. No head contact. If Wilson did not get any additional punishment for his hit Reaves should not get any additional punishment. - mickel25
I just dont agree with that.
On the Devil's hit you could make the case that Wilson was trying to get out of the way a bit..
On this hit Reaves clearly targeted Wilson.
Reaves should get something for this hit but its the NHL DOPS so he will probably get a stern look. |

Okay, thank you for the info. This concerns me. The GM’s obligation/Courtesy to give the old Coach a shot, while better coaches are on the market. I think Hakstol is toast. |

With Seattle coming in I would like to see a change in... everything. Lets roll with 4 conferences and no east vs west. Playoffs will be top 16 teams with top team in conference earning a 1-4 seed.
Pacific:
Vancouver
Seattle
San Jose
Los Angeles
Anaheim
Edmonton
Calgary
Las Vegas
Southern:
Arizona
Colorado
Dallas
Florida
Tampa
Nashville
Carolina
St. Louis
Central:
Winnipeg
Minnesota
Chicago
Columbus
Detroit
Toronto
Pittsburgh
Buffalo
Metro:
Montreal
Ottawa
Boston
NY Rangers
NY Islanders
New Jersey
Philadelphia
Washington - youarewrong
Not gonna happen, according his royal imbecile, aka James Tanner, the Yotes are just going to be moved to the central and Seattle goes into the Pacific (which will likely happen for real one day when the big earthquake comes)
Sorry, if this is late...well not really, (frank) all y'all

Q may be not working for Chicago. But he's still getting paid and may have decided to take time off and recharge. Just because he isn't coaching doesn't mean he's available.
I don't want Stevens (Flyers ties) and Yeo (horrible in 2 places). So I'm fine with Hakstol staying for now. |

I agree that Reaves' hit was more of a targeted hit and will receive additional punishment. However, Wilson should have zero leeway with the league. He clearly could have made a better effort to avoid contact and he did not. With his record he should have something in addition to the game misconduct.
For me both hits need to be eliminated. Players without the puck should not be blindsided.
Also, frank Wilson. |

I like the concept. The NHL will not go for no East/West simply because of travel costs. But I like the rest of the idea. |

That's what was said about alignment at the BoG conference where they announced Seattle. It was a fun listen. They didn't mention changing playoffs
Tanner usually has his head in his posterior a lot but I guess he reported it correctly. |

Makes perfect sense to me. He needs an assistant. He's more than likely here for at least the duration of this season. Let him have a guy he wants. |

Somewhat misleading. This accounts for only "unblocked" shots not all attempted shots. |
