I’d really like to see the Jets grab Phil. Hes still got the fourth best shot in the league. (Matthews, Ovi, Lineh, Phil, Vlad)

I’m not sure the Rats do the Ekblad deal though either.

But yeah, I’d do whatever possible to move The Trouba Turnstile.

That is horrible.
Bjugstad isn’t reliable, Ekblad is a huge step down from Trouba with a massive cap hit (while also being a hit away from retirement), and you’re giving away your second best defensive forward for no reason, AND downgrading a draft pick on top of it. That’s not even mentioning the waste of a perfectly good Nic Petan


I wouldn’t do the Kessel deal, either. We arguably have 5 top line wingers, and only 2 are going to have a cap hit like Kessel at any point. He’s also facing the cliff of decline soon.

OEL is better. Trouba is younger, and cost controlled. We’re weak on both sides, but the right side looks a lot worse going forward. I’d keep Trouba.

It usually is. I’m working from entirely from memory here, but I believe 7 of the last 10 cup winners were top 5 Corsi teams. Only Washington was out of the top 10.
