and pommer only had 13 points in the 10 games on the top line, not 20 in 13 like many are implying

the tale tale with him rivals the legend of casey nelson

Scandella has to be moved with how well Pilut is playing right ? I remember when I said Scandella should have one foot out the door once that lottery ball came up in buffalos favour and everyone here ate me alive. I should really start bookmarking things.

I was with you, the only reason why I thought he was safe this year was because botts traded for him

and as far as bookmarking stuff, f that

if you are here on a regular basis you know what people say

much better D which will make the guys up front better, when we remove 6 scrubs from the bottom 9
- homiedclown

Dahlin, Pilut, Risto and we are 3/4 of the way to a Nashville lite d-corps. McCabe and Bogo make for a good bottom pair. We are missing a top 4 RHD and we are off to the races. Samuelsson, Bryson, Borgen, Hickey in the pipeline. Scandella and Guhle should be prime candidates to bring in more offence.

Leafs have 2 real nice kids on the farm that should help make a difference.
For this year, they need 1 more top 4 - easier said than done. Rielly is elite and Gardiner is a good 2nd pairing guy, Dermott is looking like he will become a nice top 4...after that it's a bunch of bottom pairing guys.
Buffalo has some really nice D....

Now that there aren’t as many ppl here to flip out when i say this...

We’d be a legit threat if we hadn’t made the O’Reilly trade

I warned ppl that Mittelstadt might not be a stud right away
He’s a guy we were counting on to score

Same with the guys we brought in for ROR
None of them are netting expectations
Each has had a few good games,
but we need more from them

- jdfitz77

Talent wise alone, it would be nice to have O'Reilly, but it sure feels like there was something to the narrative that he was disrupting the locker room. Team feels tighter this year, playing harder and all pulling together. It's been discussed and sort of confirmed by Ray and Hamilton as well, without their actually calling out O'Reilly. For that reason, I'm not looking in the rear view mirror at O'Reilly one bit.

I think Sandin has already surpassed Liljegren. But nevertheless it’s two guys with NHL potential. Sandin should be a top 4 guy. I can’t wait till Dahlin gets a few years experience and adds another 15 pounds.

sabres played very well last night. honestly better than i was expecting.

I think we could pry Anisimov on the cheap. Yea he’s old and doesn’t fit the time line but he can be a stop gap until Mitts, Asplund, and Malone figure it out. I still can’t believe we pick 4 times in the first round in the next two years.

at the beginning of the year I did not think this team was ready to take on a higher priced 30-something player, but now I am convinced that is exactly what we should do.

How do we get our hands on PK-88? Kessel?

St Louis is going to go rebuild right? I would love to get Tarasenko out of there, would a #1 & #3, plus say McCabe and Rienhart get that done?
- hehateme

They are only paying Tatasenko 6.5 mil

They would be insane to trade him until his contract is up. Best deal in the league

We need another top 4 solid defensemen too. Scandella Swiss cheese on defense. Dahlin, while amazing, still getting used to the big game. Need a little more depth

From what I saw last night, our D is Fine, actually better without Scandella in the line up and Pilut in. Plus you still have Guhle in the AHL... We need more scoring. Kessel would be a good fit on this team,,..

I couldn’t agree more. Defense is hands down the toughest position to step into in the NHL. I don’t ever remember an 18y old kid looking this good this early and I’ve been a fan for over 35 years

Thinking about this made me very excited. And also doesn't hurt us in the long run. Fax it over

And prongs was mainly just pure beast early on. His size was a big factor. We had never seen size and skill like his at the time
