We need another LEGITIMATE scorer. A proven scorer.

And I hate to say this but if you want one of those, with the league wide need for D, youre talking either Risto in a package or Pilut in a package.

PLEASE dont respond with "Okposo, Nelson and a first"

- RippedFuel

We need to get Nylander up here. He and his older brother have the same number of NHL points this year.

I wouldn't mind talking to the Flyers and seeing what the plan is there.

They are probably set on D, especially young D. Id like to hear what it would take for Vorachek or Couturier, or hell, ever Giroux. No interest in Simmonds, too slow, to beat up.

Id try to put something good together for one of those three.

- RippedFuel

Simmonds is the guy id want from Philly. He’d be a perfect fit flanking Skinner and Eichel. Only thing is he’s an impending UFA and what’s the cost of acquiring someone like that.

Good morning, fellas.

I had big plans to spend all day trolling in this thread, but something has come up at work. So if you don't mind, I'll just write down everything I was going to say in one post.

Something about hotels with windows.

Love Canal.

I was hoping to take a small break from trolling to engage in some playful banter about Commander Tom and Rocketship Seven.

Definitely references to the assassination of McKinley, and the scene in It's a Wonderful Life where they sing "Buffalo Girls Won't You Come Out Tonight" - which is actually about hookers on Canal Street.

If a Sabres fan landed a good insult and I got flustered, I probably would have responded about wings being fattening, so Buffalo was killing North Americans. Yeah, it would have been lame.

Brett Hull's goal.

Wide right (although that pains me) and the Music City Miracle (that pains me too).

Absolutely would have made references to Rob Johnson.

Horseshoe Falls better than American Falls.

Buffa-slug.

Those horrible red and black uniforms.

Those abominable yellow on the front, blue on the back uniforms.

Another break from trolling to talk about the Buffalo Bill show, starring Dabney Coleman.

Once again, I'm sorry that I can't fully dedicate my day to this, but I promise I'll check in as often as I can.

All the best,

Atomic Wedgie.

I know he is hurt and 3 weeks ago I said no way, but I would trade the Kings, Okposo + a B Level prospect for Kovalchuk. Kovy has a way better up side VS Okposo..

For Giroux or Couturier, theres very few untouchables in my opinion...

Olaf, Nylander, Pilut, Borgen, even Mittelstadt would be available in my opinion for one of those two, youre talking rock solid 2nd center so.....

Go ahead and bash me ...but for either of those 2,

Mittelstadt, Pilut and a 1st isn't out of the question.

My opinion is, hes too old, slow and has too long of an injury list. To me, hes just a slightly better Okposo.

Give me speed and skill

Maybe referring to the UB game last Friday night? that was played in Detroit. But somehow I really doubt it.

I'm predicting that Buffalo loses in heartbreaking fashion to Detroit next year.

Some good stuff in here I must say. A classic American folk song about the Buffalo hookers! F-yeah!... I wish this was put to organ music and played at every home game.

Regarding your big plans ... despite your strong efforts here, your first line/admission has already told us all what a sad life you must lead. Soury bout that.

And the Nashville game was on the road.

It almost seems unfair to make Buffalo play tonight, until you look at Toronto's record in Buffalo.

the biggest problem IMO for the sabres on the road

all their eggs are on 1 line

good teams can easily make adjustments to stop that line before every faceoff that jack, skunk and skinner skate to the dot

and our bottom 9 suck

If Babcock goes with the kadri line against eichel, what lines do you guys match against Tavares and then Matthews?

In saying that I still expect Matthews to go against eichel tonight.

Edit; was thinking the game was in Toronto, my bad. I guess buffalo gets last change.

Buffalo is at home, so I doubt Babcock matches lines.

Too bad the NHL doesn't have a minor league system from which you could call up players to potentially produce more offense

Ya I just noticed that. I edited my post.

I guess housley gets to decide who he wants to match eichel up against.

If Berglund wouldn't have won the faceoff he never would have had the chance to miss the open net, sooo........
