If we end this year as bottom feeders (hopefully and likely), does Shero switch anything up in the coaching staff? I've been a defender of Hynes but I'm starting to think we need someone new. The problem is that Shero and Hynes have a special relationship (🙄) so I don't see Hynes getting the boot. Thoughts? - Devils4ever
The faults are Sheros'. Cant blame Hynes for no upgrades to the team. I keep Hynes for now. |

That's what I've been arguing as well but I'm not sure if he's very good at developing the younger guys. I'm more than happy to be proven wrong because I like the guy but idk. |

Thats one thing Hynes is known for, is developing and teaching the kids. I believe Hynes is so far away from the problem it shouldn't be discussed. Wait for the team to become competitive and youth growing then we can go after him but for now, when we still obviously in rebuild mode. And if we are in rebuild mode still, should there even be blame anywhere? Like why blame anyone if this is expected and should happen. |

I think its because of the fear that Hall walks when it's time to sign him. I dont disagree with you though, it's just a question for discussion. |

If Hall walks he walks, nothing we can do. He didnt ask to come here. But he does like playing with Nico. Hall is growing up and NJ is great place to start a fam. We shall see. |

Personally, I dont think we leaves. He seems to like it here, and like you mentioned, he likes playing with guys like Nico and Bratt. Only time will tell. |

I think Hall is just taking the high road. I'm sure he does enjoy playing with these guys, but he can find a Nico on most other teams. He'll go where the money is more than anything. |

We have a year and a half to sign him. One would hope if he doesn't have an extension by next years trade deadline that he would be moved for significant pieces. |

I think to get max value in trade he needs to be signed in this offseason with us or trade him. You'll get less at deadline for a player months away from FA. |

Why do we still have the same power play with the guy in front of the net and one higher up by the hash marks. It's very predictable because we don't have enough open players to make fast passes around the ice. I just can't believe that somebody hasn't changed it yet. |

If it’s any consolation, we managed to work Kinkaid into the 2nd PP, lol. |

this team is so bad
Tampa doesn't even look like they are trying and we have to try our hardest just to play mediocre defense. Terrible.

No lead is safe with Domingue.
The Lightning could have a 5 goal lead with 10 minutes remaining, and I'd be nervous.
Devils look to be quick on the puck pursuit, but don't know what to do with it when they have it. They are winning races to the puck, but then making mistakes or iffy plays with it.

Bad call followed by a powerplay goal. Seems to be the trend. |

That call was dripping in weak sauce. Officiating in this league is a joke. It just happened to work out in my team's favor this time.

Plenty of time for more, wouldn’t be an NHL game I feel the refs didn’t make themselves the story at some point. |

Nice job on Wood keeping our disaster of a PP off the ice. |

Also, I don't even know where the slashing penalty happened so whatever who cares. |

Penalties are just given at random. You can't rationalize it because it makes no sense. |
