Ozhiganov needs to be a little more physical, he was known for that in the KHL and I have yet to see him use that attribute so far this season. He also needs to use his shot a little more, he's always throwing a weak shot wide of the net.

That being said, he hasn't looked all that bad, he's pretty good at making a first pass out of our end. Unlike Polak the past few years lol

Signing Marner to a 6 year deal and only Matthews to 8.

Give Marner his money when the JT contract and Z contract is over.

They had Letang in 2016. Olli Maataa and Dumoulin aren't slouches, probably better than everybody the Leafs have other than Rielly and defensively, maybe better than Rielly. So no, not even on paper are the Leafs better. Then on top of that, Crosby and Malkin, literally two of the top 3 or 4 players of their generation, again, another thing the Leafs do not have.

Also, so what if they had Letang? The Leafs currently have Rielly. Who is slightly outproducing what Letang did. And Letang has never once been called a defensive stalwart.

i was finally (maybe) right about something. i argued that he wouldnt be worth his contract the entire summer he was a free agent. didnt want him.

I did think Tavares was more likely, though. Because the Leafs were a good team for him to join, unlike when the Leafs tried to get Stamkos.
