Actually Vancouver is not that bad. They have considerable upside. Despite some drafting mistakes in the past, both Boeser and Petterssen were terrific picks. Petterssen looks to be a really high quality player moving forward. Hughes is a bit of a gamble, but could turn out well. Canucks are one good draft away from a significant move up in my opinion.

Yup - the only factor leading me to think "maybe" is that he's only making 1.25 next year. Does he really want to lug his equipment bag around for that kind of coin? And the fact that the contract had him earning 17.5 over the first 2 yrs suggests that maybe ...maybe he only wanted to play 2 years.
