You can enjoy Nylander on Leafs for one last season
After that, it's cap crunch time.
Hopefully he'll put up great numbers - so we can deal him for another good winger.
I'm not a big fan of Gardiner, and think Nylander adds more to the team than Jakey...
However, I feel that Dubas and Babcock might want to keep Gardiner over Nylander, and trade Nylander for a good young RFA winger..
I hope for Nylander he'll have a good first few games, if not, some Leafs' fans will start booing him quickly - nobody needs that..

Yep. Nice to be the Jets. You have even bigger cap concerns and everyone leaves you alone. On top of that, Winnipeg was a consensus cup winner pick before the season started by the Canadian media.

I find winnipeg overated. I said before the season both them and Boston are prone candidates for regression.
They've both got key members of both offense and defense that are hitting ages where they can expect to decline quickly. (Wheeler, byfuglien, Bergeron, chara).
It may happen this year maybe next. But it's coming for sure. |
