so the Leafs technically sent Dermott down to the AHL Marlies. ...

Wonder if he has to touch the door or his locker or something to make it official. Maybe he can just sign in via VPN.

Just putting this question out for anyone who wants to answer it:

The Sharks are currently hanging on to a plaoff spot.

If they go into the tank, would it be worth it for Dubas to try to acquire Karlsson at the trade deadline?

I think he's a right-handed shot.

Just wondering what you guys think, and what you would be willing to give up.

- Atomic Wedgie

not sure if answered but it would cost the shark another 1st rounder if traded to the eastern conference team.

Dude shows up to training camp in shape, works his ass off, never complains, puts the team first.

And they cut him to make room for a Swedish me-first egotistical pretty-boy douchebag who held out because he doesn't care about the team - he only cares about himself and his hair.

This will rip the dressing room apart.

The window just closed.

Leafs 3rd in team defense
also getting (frank)ed by refs - 2.48 PP per game lowest by significant amount in the league, next lowest is 2.85 and only five teams in the NHL have less than 3.00 PP per game.

Leafs played poop in Minny last night but holy (frank) could Minny have got a few more penalties.

I don't mind the Leafs D....There still needs to be some sort of upgrade to push Hainsey down and I expect that at the deadline.

I posted it earlier and I expect Gudas to be a TDL trade this year...I would not mind the leafs trading for him. Good cap hit for the next 2 years too.

Sarcasm I feel?

Dermott will be back tomorrow.

It buys the Leafs some time to trade a depth player....If not they will need to waive one.

Minor trades ok, take on a better dman or a power forward at the TDL would be the way to go imo. Nice to be female dogging about fourth liners and backup goalies. Only a few years ago team was on a road to nowhere.

Shots against are worrisome though...Andersen has made about 200 more saves than his peers lol.

I haven't watched a lot of Flyers games, but from what I understand, Gudas would be too slow to work within the Leafs' system.

Yup, Gudas is a fancy stat darling and he adds some toughness to this team. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

I also see a Gardiner signing...For the Leafs sake they better hope he is willing to take a hometown discount because if he isn't its a huge hit to the backend.

I had the pleasure of watching him play live a few weeks ago against the Leafs.

He is not slow. For his size he actually has good speed...from what I saw he is plenty fast enough to fit into the system.

I hate when big players that can hit automatically get the "slow" card on them.

He was the only Flyers D that night that could break a friggen cycle. I like him and could realistically see him being traded.
