If he plays for an Eastern team in the 2018-2019 season, Sharks give up a 1st.

3 way deal, but the Sharks don't know it is a 3-way deal until it is too late.

Just putting this question out for anyone who wants to answer it:

The Sharks are currently hanging on to a plaoff spot.

If they go into the tank, would it be worth it for Dubas to try to acquire Karlsson at the trade deadline?

I think he's a right-handed shot.

Just wondering what you guys think, and what you would be willing to give up.

I think Karlsson has not been the same since he was hurt. Pass.

He was certainly not a 12 or 11 or 10 or 7 million dollar D man last night against the Sens.

Pietrangelo will be 30 when his new contract starts. Pass.
- Steven_Seagull

Trade Tavares when he turns 30.

3-way deal.

Boom.

- Atomic Wedgie

As dumb as Dorion is, I think he closed that loophole after SJ (frank)ed him on the Hoffman trade. Moved him the same day for more.

I agree, doesn't seem to skate with the same speed. And being on an slow old team surely doesn't help.

Tavares was 27 when he signed, and didn’t cost Nylander. The fact that I have to keep repeating these things to you is pretty telling of how ignorant you really are.

He turned 28 before the season started, is signed until he's 35 and he was born the same year as Pietrangelo. The fact that you can't understand that Pietrangelo being 30 in two years is (frank)ing irrelevant to the fact that he improves the Leafs defense immensely.

He was franking hot garbage on Wednesday night - the only time I noticed him was when he was making poor decisions with the puck. Burns, however, was awesome.

To be honest, I really only posted this question as a joke to keep tonight's guests riled up. Buf how much would Karlsson cost at the deadline? It's not like the Sharks paid a lot to get him.I really wonder if the Sharks want him back.

But yeah, he isn't coming to Toronto.

Worth it. Clears the cap space required to re-sign him, costs 6.5 for a year (which is less than Nylander) and vastly improves the defense while losing nothing offensively because they have plenty of other guys who can score plenty of goals.

I've only seen one game this year, but he was making poor decisions with the puck on Wednesday.

Maybe.

But if you haven’t noticed nobody on here wants to keep talking about it it’s been talked way too much on here.

So move on and come back when it’s draft time.
