Too bad for the Loafs - overpaid by about $1M - still didn't fix the "D". I can't wait for the implosion in TO next summer when the have to start jettisoning players / contracts without a cup. Can you say 52 and counting ? - Iago

LOL. I can feel the salt radiating from you. You haven't seen your team win any championships? Oh.
A championship isn't meaningless if it is in the post cap era.
A bleak future?? Did you even read my comment? Boquist (#7 from this draft) + Jokiharju (already playing top D minutes, a guy your team would love to have). I bet the Leafs would have traded Nylander for him, but that deal is a no-go you can have Keith.
Debrincat is absolutely killing it. He scored 72 points last year and he has 20 points in 26 games. Yea I guess you're right, he's "too small" for the NHL LOLOL.
Panarin released a statement today that he's coming back to the Hawks. It seems like you live a sad life
- RedRevenge
Salty? LOL
Maybe once upon a time - but today is all that really matters and no reason to be salty with what Leaf fans get to watch day in and out....
Blackhawks fans, completely different story. OUCH!!!
Yeah, I acknowledged your statement of 2 prospects...big deal.. 7th overall - ooooooh!!! LOL good luck with your two prospects and Debrincat....sounds grim to me!!
As for Panarin, I would like to see where Panarin released a statement saying he is coming back to Blackhawks. That would be pretty funny of a contracted NHLer to say that while playing for a different team.
As for my sad life - yeah, sucks....semi retired before 40yrs old. Leaving to Nuevo Vallarta for 3 weeks on Dec 20th. Heading to Europe for the whole summer with the wife (kids at camp all summer)....
I guess compared to some, that life does suck.

Easy to figure out the Marleau buyout, 3/4 of 6.25 spread out over 2 years... so 2.5 million or so on the cap for the next 2 season - obie
So, yea, this isn't true at all.
Because his contract was front-loaded, and because most of his compensation for next season is bonus, which he gets regardless of if he gets bought out or not, his buyout cap hit for next season would be....wait for it.... $6.25M. |

Your view is so pessimistic. That's why I can assume you live a sad life.
The blackhawks sucking this year is the best thing for the team. Look at Buffalo this year..
There isn't much more to say about the prospects. 2 top pair defensemen and a top winger all under the age of 21. Panarin has already expressed interest in coming back home. Do some research and maybe you'll learn something.

Brian Burke is on Hockey Night in Canada criticizing the hell out of the Leafs for a 6.9M cap hit on Nylander because the Leafs are not a cup contender. Then..he revealed his true pettiness when he questioned whether or not you put Nylander ahead of Gardiner...his acquisition. The same 30 year old Gardiner still learning how to play D. Nylander....is 22. Are Brian Burke and Donald Trump related? |

Summer camp for my kids is probably the thing they look forward to the most.
No parents, little rules, up late as they want....fun all day every day.
We miss them for the 7 weeks, they miss us, but they have amazing experiences.
They are coming with is to Mexico (as they do every year)....missing about 4 total days of school. |

Initial reports were between 8 and 8.5mil....
So win is for the Leafs, not Nylander. |

He was asking for 8 or 8.5 reportedly. The leafs could've signed him for 5 and they'd be getting criticized. People just hate the leafs and no matter what the leafs do it's wrong. You get used to it after a while, I find it amusing. |

Yep. You tell em. - daws44 You can really see the seething jealousy coming out from Leaf haters. Up until 4pm they would never have criticized an easily tradeable 6.9M cap hit over 5 years, but now that their hopes of the Leafs not getting Nylander signed have been dashed the transparent pettiness begins.

Funny how they throw out the "7" when the report was "8+"..
I think most Leaf fans had been saying all along anything between 6.5 and 7 would be good....
