I like that he's a viable trade option, if it comes down to that.

But I also believe that kids make mistakes. As young and exciting as the NHL is with the youth taking on more and more of an important role, there are still hard lessons to learn in the playoffs and trading Nylander in a Larsson for Hall type move doesn't fix that.

Yeah, Brownie might be the odd man out, but he's still important as a PKer.

We really need Leivo or Ennis to take on those minutes, but I don't see it happening. My guess is Ennis gets moved at some point. Leivo can play both sides, so I see him sticking around over Ennis.

Honestly, I still view this as nobody being in the wrong.

Nylander is an exceptionally skilled guy who deserved to get paid; Dubas is in charge of a team and responsible for managing the cap. He managed to get a win-win situation here with Willie getting good money, and the cap hit staying reasonable.

And let's be honest - that's the main thing. Nobody actually cares about the amount of money that MLSE is handing over. Willie could get paid $100m a season and nobody would give a (frank) if his cap hit was low.

More than that - now there's a precedent for guys to hold out. You know who is most unhappy with Willie and Lewis Gross right now? The management of all 30 other teams. RFAs are supposed to roll over and take whatever the team wants to give them, and they didn't.

The team cursing the most is probably Winnipeg - they have only 21 guys under contract next year (as in total player contracts through the organization), and only $23m to work with (plus however much the cap raises by). Think we have it tough - let's sit back and watch them try to sign Trouba, Laine and Connor while still needing another 6-8 warm bodies just to ice a damn team.

Ennis doesn't bring anything those other 2 don't ( Lievo and brown) and those guys are better defensively and they're both bigger. Brown is a pker too so he's not coming out for someone who doesn't pk

Brown may be a PKer, but so are Hyman, Johnsson, Kapanen, JT and Marner - and they're all better at it than Brown.

I think Ennis is 1st guy to take a seat but Babs will bounce him in and out depending how Brown - Leivo - Johnsson play

Plus someone will be injured so it won’t be long for whoever sits.
