It all depends on how many UFA years you are buying. Hopefully 8 yr deals at those numbers.
Part of what isn’t so great about the Nylander deal.
Comparable to the Pasternak deal in AAV but I believe that deal bought 2 yrs if UFA (though I might not be accurate on that) which makes it not as great a deal to pay a similar AAV for less UFA years. Pasternak is underpaid in hindsight, but he’s ok with it. Let’s hope Willy is as good as Willy thinks he improves like Marner has. If he does then we will love the deal in a couple of years.

Leo’s getting paid to much. Ennis, Leivo Johnson have been good bottom 6 guys this year. It’s going to be basically just recycling those type guys every few years while paying the top guys top end.
