He wasn't completely wrong. The leafs did give in. I don't think 6.9 for Nylander is a bad number but the signing bonus (frank)ed the leafs. Not a huge deal but he got paid for sitting out and got a bunch of money up front. Leafs should of got cap savings for him sitting out this long. But instead they basically got a 3.3m cap penalty this year and no savings going forward. If Matthews holds out next year we'll end up with a 20m cap hit

That was painful. 2 first round draft picks that he gets after the kessel trade handcuffed him for 2 years are huge busts.
