if you removed 4-5 players from the big club, waivers/trades and bring 4 or 5 up from rochester

the product on the ice will be much better IMO

he has 30 goals in the last 14 months

same as a skunk

all jokes aside, he was trying to do it all last night, and he doesn't need to

I think this is what led to his assist count to this point though. He gets everyone in a tizzy running around with him, and presto bango, Reinhart is alone in the slot for a goal to go off his skate from Eichel

Jack gets 2 guys (or more) shadowing him, and Reinhart or Skinner or Pominville or a defenseman is alone somewhere. Eichel's job is to create havok and then put it to an open spot. I think that can look like he's trying to do too much when it doesn't work, but when it does, it's of the highlight variety. Hes also on a 90-point pace

Only Pilut and Smith are ready. Nylander should be later this year and Oloffson next year. O'Regan is going to be a career minor leaguer.

I have seen enough of scandella, girgens, larsson, okposo and the moulson look alike though

the lack of speed showed last night, and getting scandella, berglund back will not fix it

i still like okposo, unless his contract will prohibit them from making a move i dont need him gone.

overpaid obviously but even most good teams have bad contracts

The Sabres have always played us hard, even when they were nowhere near as fired-up and stacked as they are now.

It was always that curse of "on paper, we should beat this team easily" - and then the Sabres would give us a run for our money or beat us.

This game was no exception. Sure, Domingue looked a little soft and maybe he wants a couple of those goals back, but this game was a lot closer than the boxscore makes it look.

I’d love for TB/BUF to turn into Pitt/WSH with a ton of skill against each other in the post season

Safe to say that his contract has already impacted/prevented moves.

I think that's part of the problem we have most nights - we have one slow guy on each of our top 3 lines.

People keep bringing up the "Backup" thing, but the backup on TB does have a 9-4 record and their starter is 9-3-1. Not much of a difference.
Maybe we should start talking about how every team that loses to us lost to a career backup?

A lot of people commenting that Jack needs to score more, but then when he tries to, "He's trying to do too much by himself. " I wouldn't care if he only scored 10 more goals this season if Skinner has 45+ Pommer 25+ Rhino 25+, and Jack has 75 assists. Remember that Jack usually turns it up the second half of the season.

Tage has really impressed this past week. Hopefully he continues to improve and lives up to his A (or B?) Prospect level.

Last night's loss doesn't upset me for a few reasons. Playing short on D for most the night (including an extended stretch with only 4 guys) against a high scoring team like TB and keeping it a game is very promising. Also held them to 1/5 on the PP. Unfortunately the one came with one our top PK guys in the box.

Lastly, we knew the streak would end, I would rather it happen to a team like TB than to a struggling Florida team and certainly not against Toronto on Tuesday.

Anyone notice the Hutton Ristolainen argument, I hope it’s nothing but risto seems super cocky. You never argue with the goalie, especially when he’s trying to play the puck and you keep pushing towards him in the crease.

If Guhle had his sh!t together he would have been recalled as opposed to Tennyson today.
