I'm off going to games. Such a hassle with line ups for everything, car and/or pedestrian traffic, high prices etc.
Much rather watch at home with proper replays or the pub. - systemtool
The atmosphere (or lack there of depending who you talk to) is really what going to the game is about now. And the status that comes with being at the game.
With 4K TV, watching the game at home is hard to beat rather than sitting in those poopty seats, getting (frank)ed in the ass on what everything costs and the general lack of good viewing angles, replays etc. depending where the seats are. |

Drink a six-pack in the parking lot. May as well get your money's worth in the parking lot for what they charge too. - Unholy_Goalie
well, a gentleman like the Mussel doesn't drink in the parking lot. All the other Finns might though |

While I'd like another top-four D, they need a top pair D too. They got plenty of #7 D already though. - Unholy_Goalie

I'd be better off starting to drink at the game
6 pack gets me in the 'not stopping soon if there's no reason to' zone |

That whole new album is great too. They are one of the great Canadian bands imo, although they are multinational. |

Probably. I don't get it, though. There isn't a person on the planet more irritating than Billy Corgan.
Also I love me some Emily Haines. - BINGO!
Billy is an idiosyncratic d-bag who loves wrestling and trump, and thinks the paint colour of his guitar changes the tone of it.
But he's a hell of a song writer with a massive range of styles, perfectionist when it comes to presenting his music, and boy can he play the guitar. |

Metric on record is quite good, not 100% my cup of tea but can jam out to it once in awhile. It was the live performance that really left me wanting more. |

I went to this (frank)in preseason Jays game in the (frank)in Big O in Montreal, and they charged a zillion dollars for this piss beer that came in a can the size of a thimble. I believe it was the donkey piss known as Corona. Then I spent half the day waiting in lines for urinals with thousands of other dumb bumholes. Drinking at live sporting events was one of the things that drove me to teetotalling entirely. |

They might have addressed this issue by now but they used to literally have one ATM in the entire place, with no ins and outs.
I would now like you to guess, on average, how much money was in that ATM for the majority of any given event? |

Some of the guys I was with were on mushrooms and or edible cannabis that day. I don't know how they handed it, because the Big O will trip you the (frank) out even if you are sober off your ass. |

I respect your opinion.
Highly disagree though. I was at the Flyers game and try to get out to one game a year....watching on the TV does not even compare. You see so much more and you really see the speed and little room the players have to make a play.
For me it’s pretty easy to take a train, and I am not bothered by people being around me. - Santo_44
I'd save all the money spent on going to regular season games and spend it either on a really, really good TV or a really important playoff game. |

Back when cuba was dirt cheap, my wife offered to get me Leaf tickets for my bday. I told her id rather go to cuba for a week then go to a game for 3 hrs and chance them losing, for that amount of money. Had a great solo trip in cuba 5 months later |

It hasn't changed since the Expos, so it's like going into a time machine, it's like watching baseball in a (frank)ing time warp. You don't realize how much has changed until you go into a stadium frozen in time. That was the highlight of the whole trip, it's (frank)ing crazy. Highly recommended people do that Jays in Montreal preseason thing for just this reason. I'm not even a baseball fan.
Oh and to answer your ATM question, probably a stupid amount. |

Regular Tuesday night game against the Panthers or playoff tickets?
Cuba is probably more of a guarantee of a good time. Something especially poopty about paying to watch a game and getting a bad outcome. It's almost like gambling. |
